Keep in mind this is a regimented team game mostly so as with any army you are going to have similarities. To make your character more individual you have trophy slots that will help distinguish you by site. And as said in an earlier post each class will have up to 100 unique pieces to choose from overtime. Combined with die changes and Guild enhancements for capes etc you can still stand out from anyone else. There need’s to be some commonalty in order to identify troop types on the field also.
The overall problem I think why people go off is the fact that Funcom had the depth of a great IP with Conan that could have stomped every other game in the market if they would have done everything they set out to do. Instead they have tried to do damage control for the last 4 months by saying “Wait until the next patch" every week.
MMO's are a fickle market and they had one shot to make it something and blew it out of the water. The unfortunate thing now is in order to Conan to get a proper MMO platform for it's IP they are going to have to wait until the Funcom looses rights to it so some one might try again in he distant future which is unlikely and I find that sad.
AOC could have been a great game and now it will just limp along like most others with a mid size to small customer base that will see people come and go at will giving it a try every so often to see if it has become something. I see them trying to rush things out now to try and compete with WAR and ROTLK which is really a feeble effort at best. Until some one at Funcom Corporate starts looking inside and holding people accountable for the failures of the last 4 months nothing is going to improve.
For those of you sticking it out in game I wish you luck and hope you get what you've been waiting for.

To be honest I really don't understand why they even bowed down to those that wanted an Open ruleset.
The game was designed 100% around Core rules.
I'd really like to hear people's reasons for wanting to play on an Open RvR server.
This makes progression with your characters very difficult when at any point you can be killed unsuspectingly and then have to run all the way back to whatever it was you were doing.
And That is EXACTLY why I will roll an open pvp server. That added sense of danger because there can be a thinking, plotting player stalking you and waiting to strike is one of the most important aspects of an MMO to me.
Please don't impose your own preference on the rest of the world.
"Stalking" I guess this would work if you had some form of tracking ability but the game does not have one that I see. So open is really going to be a game of blind mans bluff as far as that goes. Also I find it quite limiting not being able to go back to lower tiers to be able to do old quests that could have been missed. I'm sure you you'll have fun doing chicken races pecking some ones eyes out.
NP had a blast FYI Fallout 3 is crazy fun.
Do you Role Play?
