    • The USA Will Enter a Depression ... Yes, the D Word.
    • Just to chime in...

Yes the bailout didn't work. Of course it wouldn't work but a certain few have control of billions of dollars to keep their friends and selves safe and secure. Don't mistake that.

Even when the first got their hands on the $ it was flatly stated the market won't stabilize unless the housing market stabilizes. Screw that. The Gov forced bad loans to "low-income" persons, thanks Bill Clinton and Cuomo-you pieces of shit, and expanded the program to every trailer trash across the nation. Add in the ridiculous housing bubble to keep it going so even the average house was going for 450k+ and it finally  caught up.

The housing market needs to correct itself natually. People are getting forclosed? Screw them. Banks made bad investments and sold tem overseas? Screw them. I bought TR and got an unfinished game? Screw me.

Save your money, sell the second car and we'll all get through this.

THe secret reasoning behind this organized crash? Say goodbye to the free market. The Fed Reserve has new competiion in the banking industry. State control.

    • Would you play a forced grouping game?
    •

Option 1: Those that want to group can stick to MMORPGs

Option 2: Those that want to solo can stick to RPGs.

Sick and tired of solo'ers coming into the MMO genre. If all you want to do is play a game and chat its called multi-tasking. There's AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, etc to chat up all night and run alongside a great RPG. See option 2.

Too busy to group up in MMOs because you don't have the time? Then the MMO genre is not for you.     See option 2.

I remember afew years back I was subbed and tracking WW2's progress. People were arguing about how historically accurate the inside of vehicles were; dials here, levers there. All while the gamplay performance and stlye sucked.

Someone just mentioned why is is required to have such a large seamless world when the battles are usually somewhat concentrated? He is absolutely correct. FIrst issue I had: Walking forever to get to a battle. WHen I finally reached a town..wow..what a huge disappointment! I honestly tried to see past it all..by playing in tanks/planes..infantry sucked..sorry. A semaless world so great, but isn't abosultely required or needed 99% of the time; there are workarounds to ensure the perception without huge amounts of instancing.

WW2Online and Eve are quuite similiar in some ways. They both have great indepth features. EVE's graphics are awesome, WW2's sucks. They both feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere; all dressed up and nowhere to go.

Any good DEV team isolates problems and sets a plan to fix them in order to increase their place int he market. WW2online has done nothing to fix major flaws and rely soley on fanbois of the WW2 era. SO post all the whys, ands, and buts you care too...at the end of the day WW2online is nothing more than a fad game sort of like AH2(of which I think is even superior as a MMO).

Again, the long walk times to get to a battle have been rectified.

I disagree with your assessment. The thing holding this back from being a massive hit isn't the graphics/engine, though that certainly would help. It's that it's not a bunny-hopping instant gratification style game like so many other popular ones. As such, it will never, ever be a massive hit, even if it had Crysis level graphics.

The large seamless world is absolutely necessary for the type of strategic coordination and tactical maneuver combat they are trying to simulate. And that's the key. These are simulations, not pure adrenaline games.

Not been impressed by Eve's hokey graphics; that's entirely a matter of opinion though. Apples and oranges anyway. Eve you make a couple detailed models, toss in a few planets and asteroids, and put a nebula background behind the other thing. WW2Online has to model each clump of grass so that it appears in the same location on every computer.

And finally, WWIIOnline has survived not because of "fanbois of the WW2 era", but on people that enjoy something beyond the standard insta-kill wash and repeat style of every other combat game out there. I honestly don't understand why some people have to constantly try to get anything that has something different about it turned into a clone of everything else that has come before.

Very well said, Aggreed 100% - And they are upgraded the graphics engine if you've been keeping up with the news letters, and they have mobile spawns so you dont have to run to get into the action forever from the FB. oh and if you want to get in on the action quick and easy with a massive organized group, join 23rd Armored on allied side - http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZoYGmKsnans

As for the gameplay, WWII online will never change, massive hit on the market or not.. the DEVs in WWII online do not care about massive profits, they care for the community they currently have, nothing more.

Please don't hide the shortcomings of the game behind the gaming Community; especially yours since it is a very small minority.

I come from a small niche gaming Community also once called MPBT. Was a great game, at its time, and even when a garage Dev tried to turn it into a psuedo MMO; it tanked. Simply because it is outdated. The diehards never go away but games require new blood for success; which means products need to be static at all times. Thats a good Dev team at work.

Its obvious the Devs created something very unique here. The game has been out for what..7 years? All I'm saying is it is time for an upgraded version. Adding new skins to improve the looks won't do sqwat to improve the gameplay.

"Maybe the game just isn't meant for you" I love this second line of defense from fanbois. You can see this statement on every game forum. This is the exact reason why  so many incomplete and bugged out MMOs are constantly released.

      World War II Online
    • How is this game NOW?
    • I have to agree with Duilon. I'm all for PvP but to keep things going in the right direction for TR lore, they need to release endgame, large scale battlefields. Entire maps full of destruction of control points/objectives to take...
