    War had a good release.... errr OK, but only because it is an old outdated game at launch.

    True, it didn't have many issues that prevented people from logging in, but it is an ancient level of game design.  A game with this low level of depth should be about perfected at this point.  I would hope that, near the end of the first decade in the 21st century, a company could put out game that has the graphics, sound and character depth of  a game from the 1990's.

    There isn't anything ground breaking here, just old Diablo, mixed with some WoWesk characters and tossed in to tiny arenas that mythic calls 'servers'.

    
     

    ok WiccanCircle we get it you think its a nintendo game with a WOW theme how many threads will you post the same shit. We also understand that you dont like it and its not the game for you. All you are saying is that I want a game with graphics as I have heard no complaints about anything else from you other than the typical " I want my sandbox MMO " stuff.

    For as much time as you spend on these forums surely you realized in your travels that WAR was not a sandbox game but you bought it anyway. Are you just pissed off at yourself for buying a game you knew you wouldnt like and taking it out on everyone else? I know I dont like sandbox games myself but what sense would it make for me to buy EVE anyway then go to the forums and complain about it?

    Maybe you are just looking for a friend that feels the same way as you or something. Either way if there is no action in the darkfall forums make some. No need to keep copy / pasting the same shit in every WAR post. Maybe you can just tell us where the Nintendo touched you if it will make you feel better. Is Blizzard your baby's daddy?

    But I will post as I please.  I have been around these forum and many others long long long before you even knew what MMORPGs were.  And your post count show that blather on about nothing quite a bit for a newbie.

    Besides, a few people have to mention that this game isn't very good to cover over the slurping sound that all you little children are making.

    I knew quite well what this game was and even more so what it wasn't.  I was good, I followed the NDA, even stayed away from the forum so that I wouldn't be tempted to mention that this game is really poorly done.

    Oh, and as for Dakrfall... I have always, and still will go on record saying that it is vaporware.  Beta?  Hardly.  It is the Piltdown Man of computer toys.  It is a hoax - It doesn't exist.

    
     

     How could you possibly know peoples experiences of mmorpg's over your own, "Fanboi" is used too much these days for anyone who supports a game they like.  To say this game is poorly done shows your the direct opposite of a fanboi. It may be not the game YOU wanted it to be but it serves my purposes and i think Mythic could be content with the start they have made in this game.

     It isn't groundbreaking but it is entertaining  and i wonder how many of these troll threads are from people worried about thier own mmorpgs turf?.  

     Sorry trolls this game isn't going away like AOC this one is a stayer!. It's too good for you guys to tear it down with a few ill willed words.

  •  To those who say War is going to make Wow lose all these subs i have a suggestion. Delve about 10-20 deep in these forums and look at the Aoc is going to destroy Wow threads.  Where are those people that made those threads now i wonder? ........ probably where you will be in a few weeks time!.

     I can tell you that Aoc right now would be worried about WOTLK as they are losing subs and there is a good chance War will too once it is released.

     Sorry but War has more to worry about than Wow does when it comes to subs amounts!. I arent't a WOW fanboi either in fact i have unsubscribed just as i just unsubscribed to Aoc.  I do hope War succeeds and i will be there mainly because they will have true Oceanic servers. People who say it will be a WOW killer etc etc are  ignorant though and it really is silly.

  •  I would say try it and ignore the haters as it isn't that bad a game.  People tend to forget that even games such as WOW were buggy at release and didn't have much end game content at first.

     The fact is  the patches have improved the game a lot and it is steadily getting better.  I prefer it to WOW now and only play WOW on maintenance nights. 

     I would have rated it 5 or 6 out of 10 at start and about a 7 now  and hopefully in the not so distant future even more.  I don't blame anyone who left the game as some of the things i agree with but in my opinion it really is improving.

     It really is worth trying and i won't say you are going to love it but it does have some good points and hopefully more to come.

  •  Ethion has hit the nail on the head with his comments. That is exactly what i have experienced and i don't make sense of it.  It don't break the game too much i still enjoy it  mostly but sometimes the mob reactions are just plain stupid.
