To the OP,
Naxx isn't where Arthas resides and will not be the dungeon you fight him in.
The new badge gear, while kick ass, is not ass good as the newest pvp/pve gear attainable.
First off, im not trying to hate on SWG at all, past and present form. I simple just want to know what made star wars galaxies such a great came back in the day before the CU and NGE. I played the trial for 2 weeks a couple of months after it was released but i didn't get a good feel for the game. So please, explain to me what the old SWG was like.
This thread sucked from the beginning.
I've rolled and played on low(balnazzar), medium(gurubashi), and high/full(stormreaver) servers. Of course every server differs based on the age of the server, time/zone, popularity (yes some servers are more "popular" then others), pve vs pvp, and also where their general population comes from.
From my experience, the best server was the high population server(stomreaver). I played alliance and you could almost always find groups for anything. Yes, there were many accomplished players and guilds with the best of the best gear but this seemed to have a trickle down affect on the whole community. With competition, people actually played better and had better relations.
Gurubashi actually crashes more then stormreaver, although it does have a large brazilian population. The server is good for pvp, but the market isn't great and groups aren't as common at stormreaver
Balnazzar, the low population server just plains sucks. Terribad. Forums suck, pvp isn't great and pve progression is weak.
Anyways, my point is, i've rerolled to "new" servers before, and what tends to happen is people stay for awhile, get homesick of their decked out characters on their old server, and then leave. New servers always have a large population in the beginning but it eventually becomes stale and people leave. This trend has been happening since 2006.
Nice idea for a mmorpg. I would try it even if it was from a small publisher.
It would be like Oregon Trail mmo :P
Do you Role Play?
