I play PC and console, so I would say why not have both. I have had an xbox 360 since launch and it hasn't broken down yet. Basically you put the disc in, the game boots up. Pretty simple. There are some pretty good games for it too. Only downside for me is the mmo scene is pc right now, but I think game devs are wanting to change that.
Also Xbox360 will have some good games later this year. Star Wars the Force Unleashed and Fable 2 both look good to me. Also, I think Age of Conan will be coming out for Xbox360, but not sure when. Maybe other mmo's in development for the Xbox 360 as well but not sure.
To the OP, good post. I agree with pretty much every thing you said.
I played SWG from launch to NGE. I've gone back several times to try out the NGE. Not only does the interface suck, but the current community has changed for the worst, in my opinion. The original community was one of the things that stood out the most about this game; it's really what made the game great for me.
Anyway, keep the fire burning brother. People need to be reminded of the past so that SOE's mistakes are not repeated.
Maybe if they offered a free trial with option to sub at the end.
Yeah I cancelled my account and I can't see the official announcements either. I think it's kinda wierd that they wouldn't want potential customers to hear first hand from developers the improvements they are making. Funcom marches to a different drummer.
I have two mmo accounts. It's a pittance really. Still, if I have something to say about a game I'll say it. That's what the forums are for, discussion. And I'm interested to hear what others have to say as well.
Do you currently play a SOE published game?
