I know Xfire is a questionable tool to measure activity and subscribers with, but this is just more dramatic than anything else I have seen ever in Xfire. I think we know what it means when we look on the downward trend. Why do you folks think this is happenening?
You're going to base if WAR is flopping or not on Xfire? A program that the site states only around 11,444 people are using while playing the game? When it's been said WAR has sold over 500k just in the first week.
Just cause less people show up on there doesn't mean much. After all who's to say a bunch of people didn't uninstall Xfire or during that time period they forgot to run it before logging into WAR?
Until I see less and less people playing for myself I won't believe what Xfire states about it. As of now I see tons of people playing.

What would fix the flyover thing is to let the player set one of three options:
1- Cut scene
2-Fly Over
3- Instant Teleport
Option one works like now.
Fly Over would let you observe the landscape the way precious WoW does as you fly through (and I had a couple CTDs back then when I used to do this in the early days of launch)
Instant Teleport would be the option 98% of us would probably select after we've seen both the other two a few times.
Apparently you don't even know that the HQ technique means:
You can fly ALL over the land (cities, forests, mountains, rivers) and land ANYWHERE you want and start your adventure.
This is the way it is done in 2007 TBC and will be done in WotLK and Aion also btw.
And Warhammer lore is FULL of flying mounts btw . !! So No excuse except cheap development here.
Yeah you can do that in WoW... once you hit lv 70 and paid thousands of gold for the flying mount. Then you could only use it in the Outlands, not the main world. So who's to say Mythic won't do something like that for WAR?
But as for how WAR handles flying for now, I'd rather it be that way then waiting 10+ mins like it's done in the main world in WoW. Rather be playing the game then waiting and watching my character fly to the next area.
What is this reward about? I just saw it on my account page for WAR.
Reward: DAoC sub
Includes: Pendragon's Knot

unless I am mistaken. The ce headstart began at around noon.
Yep CE headstart was suppose to be 1pm but they opened it 1 hour early. On the offical page under the pre-order info it states as of now, SE pre-order headstart will be 7am on 9/16. But I wouldn't mind them opening it at 12am tonight.
I pre-ordered through Direct2Drive and I can't play till tomorrow it seems.
