Awesome specimen. I wouldn't be surprised if a fish could take down a human. I've been fishing for salmon over 65 pounds and they can haul me across a river if they want. Let along imagine a 161 pound fish. I wouldn't worry to much though since such large fish would be rare and limited by habitat.
Its still about $3.50 a gallon here in oregon. 3.25 at the lowest. It appears the pricedrop is localized to certain areas. At 2.59 a gallon I could actually start doing weekend landscapping jobs again and make a profit:D
The question I raise is, what gives a politican power. If you address that key issue you can understand why Obama is speaking the way he does. The political system as it stands is party based. Not people based. Given time any party based system builds up a series of political debts. People make deals to stay in power. People want personal things. Corruption seeps in.
Eventually all political party based system collapse under the inherited weight of political debts. A newcomer generally has no chance on the field of politics until he has paid his debts and joined the club so to speak.
Rather then blame Obama for being a politican, question why he has to be a politican the way he is.
I don't think I'm alone when I say get this over with. Whether we vote Obama or McCain into office something bad is going to happen. We the people generally speaking aren't nor ever will be willing to do anything to change the progression of this system until its dead. That is how people are. That is politics since it began. Heck you should hear what the founding fathers said about democracies. They were not exactly fans.
The people are able to cope with basically anything thrown at us though. We have jobs. Generally the masses have jobs. Varying degrees of well being far above the standard our forbearers had and we are happier in many cases. This pal of degredation is what is is. Just one step in the progression of democracies. It will fail.
When? That is the question. How.. another good question. Why? That never was in question, human nature. What you will do when it fails... *Takes a bow* That my friends is the best question of all.
Mind you it could be a century before the eventual happens. I'm hoping it lasts. I love my country. I won't give up if it fails though. Hell my ancestors survived worse. So will I.. probably hehe. Worse comes to worst, Ill run, same as my ancestors ran. There is a lot of world out there.
Its wonderful! The smoke is in the air!
As people are layed off and companies adjust to the reality of what the economy is and will be like its like a forest fire. Beautiful glowing red hot embers leaving a ash strewn landscape of defunct businesses ran by the weakened remains of megacorps. Thats when its the best people!
Once things cool off you have more opportunities to buy, grow and spend then at any point in a economy
Things will get better. It just takes time. When a company crashes the assessed value of a commiditiy drops. Oh and my gold locket.. worth 50 bucks in the 1980s? Worth 4000 now hahaha, go gold!
