• • Why I did not buy WAR

  • Warhammer still feels like beta. It's absolutely terrible and it's not worth paying for currently. You did a good thing not wasting your money on it like a lot of us did.

  • No I wouldn't come back to play. Warhammer had one try to keep me interested in the game and they couldn't do it within my free month play so no I'll do as I did with AoC and let it rest in peace.

  • I  played on Phoenix Throne one of the CE servers and considered highly populated even though it says med/med. The place is a ghost town.

    6 weeks in and they arent adding servers...they arent even stable, they are killing almost 22 servers.

    Remember that article from Massively? during the launch he said WaR will settle around 250k ish subs. Most war fanbois laughed and said OMG WAR WILL GET 2 million subs easy !

    You're right, server merges are death. I mean WoW merged servers a few years ago, and we all can see how dead it is now, I mean no one hardly even talks about it anymore. I barely remember it.

    You people don't get it. Server merges and transfers years into the game does help but 6 weeks into a new game does say the game is losing people very fast . The game still feels like it's in beta.

  • We have or should I say had an alliance of around 400-500 people on Phoenix Throne (one of the higher pop servers). More than half of those people have not re subscribed or have canceled their subscriptions, already and more are saying they are going to cancel depending on which is first...Warhammers big patch or WOTLK expansion. Seeing as how WOTLK comes out first those folks will be leaving soon.
    

    We were old school DAOC'ers and had high hopes for Warhammer but we'll check it out in a year or so when it's more complete. We're not going to pay to beta test a game that should have been polished and finished from day one. We understand bugs and fixes needed, tweaks here and there at release but the game is broken as is and doesn't deliver what was originally offered.
    

    We're not the only alliance out there like this, a lot of the servers are empting out hince why they are having to offer free transfers off ghost town servers. That alone is a really bad sign of how things went the first month for Warhammer. Free transfers, mergers are a first sign of big trouble in numbers, just it's came a little over a month for a brand new game that was suppose to be a WoW killer.
