What End Game do you guys think would be cool for a game to have.
I understand some would say no end game. Well what would the players do. Even in a sandbox enviroment, you could skill up everything so end game would be after all skills are maxed.
PvP for guild cities and rank maybe? Collecting rare items/loot. Nice House/City/Guild Hall ?
Just wondering others saw as a good end game.
Me, I would say PvP for control of cities or bases. And the cities/base would have to give advantages to its owner. Maybe even a collection of cities owned by a guild could be grouped to make small countires, lol.
With the wealth building and player based economy/Housing. I love the crafting so inter-dependence is a must for me. I also like item wear P. I guess that is my crafter side coming out. This would make crafters and interaction more a part of end game activities. Again this is my opinion. Interested to see others thoughts and opinions.

you .... did ...... not ..... just bring WoW into a sandbox thread ........................
Of course becaue WOW is the only real sandbox game.
Your character in the end game IS the sandbox.
The rest is prehistoric rambling of old age MMORPG's.
Ok, WOW is a sandbox game
Now... change your Warrior to a bloodmage. Even a Warrior/Bloodmage hybird?
frick, and that would have proven your point to me, ![]()
IMHO, sandbox is the ability to work on any ability for any player at any time.

1) WTH are you talking about here? I find shortcuts on most maps where I just ran across the zone not following the path P. Even on tortage you can find a shortcut here are there. But off the island, you are in no way restricted to the path. Try this play the game then post, rofl.
2.) Hmm I am lvl54 now and havent seen a lack of content. I fully expect by the time majority of the players are even close to max level, content will be fine and dandy. Please if you would, list the other MMO's that had all of the end game content in play at lanuch? I cant think of one P. Although early on some did have issues with strictly quest leveling, but you can always group and gain exps for levels faster then EQ.
3.) Hmm, Knockdown, stuns, roots, instance nukes vs heavy hitting nukes, fire vs electric (for me Demo). Come at me just pushing buttons with no strat and you will be at the respawn soon. This game has more strats for combat than most other MMOs I can remember, like old SWG , with KD, Stuns, snares and roots, and for my necro friends, dots and pets. It is big fun for me.
Bottom line, play then post please. Garbage like this quoted post show trolling at its finest. No knowledge of the game, just crash it with unfact filled random blurbs. The force is weak with that one P.
I have the right for opinions. I posted what I thought about the game. But hey why trust me? There are more competent people than me talking about AoC failure.
Go read this. Then we'll talk..
because your facts are incorrect, so if you did play you're are very unobservant. It is a FACT not opinion that you do not have to stay on the path but you can explore the woods and hills. Not knowing this basic fact, lead me to believe you havent played. I have played games where you couldnt leave the path, this isnt one of them.

AoC will likely fail because
1. The World is too restrictive: each of the hunderds instances is a cell (some very small), movement is restrictive - just follow the path. So immersion suffers because the world feels like mosaics made of many separate zones and instances.
2. The game is not finished, missing content at higher levels and lack of end game makes it hard to enjoy the game after the first week. Funcom will resolve this eventually but by that time Warhammer will be out..
3. Combat mechanic, while interesting at first, doesn't live up to expectations when you group. It seems to chaotic and mindless and without any strategy.

it is fun , check it out. A buddy key is always nice to try a game first. But because so many people are playing now they arent avialable yet. Once the servers populations settle down or they add more again, they will be available, so I have read. I rated this game 8.3, and I would have to disagree with the above post, as a lvl51 Demonlogist, after I left the starting area at lvl20, the game is about 10x the fun, of course this is IMHO. Good luck on the buddy key =).
Do you think that Cryptic Studios is the 'bay area developer' that holds the rights to make the Star Trek MMO?
