Isane could you add some more substance to your post instead of simply trying to insult the poster you quoted? Of course we all know the answer to that too; NO because you're a Darkfall fanatic who will spit in face of facts and objectivity if those things may be bad for the game's image. The undeniable fact is that Darkfall was announced in 2001 and has therefore been in some form of development since at least that time.
On another note, this thread delivers the LOLs. Looking back from 2008 it's funny that skeptics have speculated that Darkfall is vaporware as early as 2004, and the fanboys have been defending it since then as well. When it comes to Darkfall history really does repeat itself.
Of course I would. Gameplay > Grind and Planetside is the only MMO I know of which is all about competitive gameplay and has no grind (I don't consider raising BR a grind since its never something I'm working for, it's just something that happens naturally in the course of PvP).

All kidding aside...did you really need to post some article about someone who got a research grant for something redundant?
Seriously...does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that people will act more confrontationally and in socially unacceptable ways when their identity is a secret?
Of course people ignore the normal boundaries when they can do so without fear of repercussion. %90 of the comments you see on here would never happen if you were face to face with the individuals, because they would fear getting their teeth knocked down their throats for being such A#@holes in real life.
I think this power-trip fantasy of yours is funny stuff. I doubt someone who's spent years reading about, writing about, and praising a MMORPG they haven't even played has a lifestyle which would make him good at fighting. Also getting in a fist fight over a videogame is pretty pathetic.
But just for the sake of argument let's test out your little hypothesis. My name's Matthew Middleton. I think Darkfall is vaporware. I'm no longer anonymous and, according to you, I'm now going to get my teeth knocked down my throat. If you think you can follow up your threats send me an e-mail at matthew.middleton4@us.army.mil
Would you rather see a game release pushed back a year or have the game release witha few bugs that will be fixed?
