    • Ok finaly played it a few days
    • These post WoW mmo players are  really starting to get under skin. Mythic will never have a offical board. They stated that almost four to five years ago. They stated it again during the creation of WAR. They just dont want to mess with them. How the hell did one person really think that not having a offical board means the game is going to suck.

These hate posts about this game is almost dumb. I realize that almost all the games the last three years sucked, but there really is very little people can bitch about WAR. I understand that its not for everyone though. This is almost enough to get off these fourms and go back to people who actually have more than five years experience in these games. At one time, I thought it was this fourm, but I dont think so anymore.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • Do you regret not buying Collectors? Or was it a smart move?
    • I do not regret not getting the CE at all. Just like the above poster said, The extra stuff in the box and the few days head start is not worth the extra money in my book. I heard the other day that people were paying up to 300 dollars to get the CE off of Ebay just to play 1 or 2 extra days head start.  Most people inculding myself can not justify that at all.

However, I am very glad I did get the SE pre order. It allowed me to test the game and really see what the game was all about. The two preview weekends and the open beta allowed me to see for myself if I really wanted to play this game.  After the AoC, I am wanting to see for myself before I make my mind on a game. The SE pre order allowed me to do this, and it was money well spent.  I am glad that they allowed SE to do this.

Honestly, I plan on playing the game long term here. The extra days of head start does not make much of a difference. The only real benefit I see is the fact that you can claim your name first.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • AOC and Warhammer Beta
    • Well after playing AoC's early access and into a month of the game and after playing both PW and open beta of WaR, I can honestly say that WAR is in much better shape than AoC was.

WAR will not be for everyone though. There will be people who do not like for whatever reason, but it wont be because of the stuff that drove me and my entire guild from AoC. I remember a lot of posters on this site saying that due to funcoms history that WAR will be the better bet when so many people where comparing them before they came out, but the Hype won with AoC. There were people posting that the mature rating and the nude scenes in AoC would just attract the most non mature people playing mmos. There were quite a few actual beta testers that came on and did break the NDA  calling all the problems with the game. The end result was that most of us did have doubts about AoC, but the all mighty hype that surrounded the game won out in the end. Yes, this inculdes me also. I got the CE of AoC which is something I have never done in all the MMO games I have played over the last 11 or 10 years.

I dont think most players who played AoC and was let down with the game did not have doubts about it in the back of their head. I know I did when I bought the game. I had doubts about WAR also. But after actually playing the game, I can say the game is a lot of fun for me. This is something I can not say for the last 3 years of releases. Thats just my opinion.

    • If you have a pre-order, don't move
    • I dont know. I have been using Amazon now for years for games and pre-orders, and I have zero trouble with them. I always get my codes has soon has the order goes through and had great ship times on the items. I would be scared of using an online service for stuff like this, but you have to be careful of who you use.
