Thanks, Gath. I forgot about Eve. Guess I was paying to much attention to the new releases trying to find something. I will look into it.
I have been looking for a new game for the past few months. In the past I have had a preference for P2P games, but if you recommend any F2P I would be open to take a look at those as well. usually I have a couple of accounts going at least since it can add a little diversity. I will try to list the games I have played.
Games I played for quite a while: UO, EQ, DAoC, and AC.
Games I have tried and didn't care for Tabula Rasa, PotBS, and WoW.
I would also add that I played LotRO for a few months. I enjoyed the book, and enjoyed the storyline quests in the game. I stopped playing because I had pretty much seen the entire world. I will probably revisit when the expansion comes out.
I like large worlds as well as more than just levelling and combat. I tend to have liked the older games better because with regular expansions and such there was always something new to explore and see.
Thanks in advance.
I was wondering if anyone who has played Tempest of Set could give some feedback as to how the class plays.
I looked on aoc.wikia.com to get an idea of the spells they can cast. The site lists 5 uncategorized spells, 3 healing spells, 2 buffs, and 1 hostile spell. Some of these have varying ranks dependent upon level. Are these the only spells that a ToS gets or are there more that just haven't been listed yet. I would hope there was more than 1 hostile spell. Maybe a link to another site that might have more information would be great too.
From reading some threads, some players say it may be a little slow at start, but picks up after that. I have read that about a few classes. Anyone have any comments that have made it to 30s, 40s, or perhaps beyond?
Thanks in advance.
Ok, did some more reading. I guess it is all instanced not zoned like EQ2. By that I mean if I were to go to Thundering Steppes in EQ2, everyone on the server in Thundering Steppes I could find there. While in AoC I could go to a similar zone and some people could be in version A, B, C, etc.
I had read some earlier threads and some people had said it was like EQ2 after Tortage. I wanted to clarify for myself whether it was zoned or instanced. No need to respond to that one.
Any information in regards to my other questions would be appreciated from those who are playing. Thanks.
I just had a few questions of players who have had a chance to play the game so far.
Is there a bank, AH, and mail system in game yet? I had read that traders I believe perform these taks, but were being worked on by Funcom.
Instances: Are areas beyond Tortage instanced as well when a population cap is met for that area.
PVP: Two questions here. On the PvP servers is open world PvP just for the sake of PvP and nothing more? By that I mean just kill some other player for the sake of doing it or are there ramifications for your actions...either good or bad.
Are castle sieges just guild vs. guild or can anyone take part ?
Levelling: Are there already alot of high level players out there? If there are, any estimates as to how much game time was actually spent to get there? I like to enjoy the game so would not be one to rush, but wanted to know if it was much of a challenge to actually get there if one were to choose to grind out levels.
Spellweaving: Not really sure how this is supposed to work so any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
