  • So much is riding on the shoulders of Darkfall.

     

    I am not a DF fanboy, but I recognize that it is showing promise. Wide open world, fun pvp, etc. MMos need something to re-energize the genre! Let's face it, most MMO gamers are either content Wow players, or really really bored gamers who are desperate for something to grab their attention.

  • Looks like a good tech demo. That's pretty much it. Might be used some day to make some interesting 'Ico' like console games.

  • Of course not. But if they want to take some of the better qualites of Pre-Good SWG like being able to hybrid your character between tank/dps/healer/30 differrent professions,  complete 'sandbox' open free world, terrific story tie-in, cutting edge environment/graphics, sci-fi, great crafting system, player created housing, and fun pvp, then please, by all means steal as much as they want. Doesn't have to be Naritus all over again, just asking for something different other than the Wow clones or the other dumbed down-instance laden crap littering the MMO landscape.

  • Am I the only one amazed by the coordination shown by this player??

    To be able to set all those players up to function in a structured manner is fantastic. Yes, a bit creepy, but I could see him trying it out, seeing the results, and then pushing it to whatever he can. This isn't simply about a guy who "has too much time on his hands", alot of people play WoW or whatever MMO too much to be unhealthy, but this goes beyond that. I would love to see a video demonstration of one of his raids...maybe even a screenshot of his "main", lol. I'm sure it's pretty decked out.
