Posting incorrect info makes my post count go up for corrections...darn you!!
GW did not say no-go to the beer powered cart, if they were against it then it never would have made it to our ears/eyes like it did. The problem was no one liked it and it looked stupid. What GW was 100% against was organic mounts (so no animals). The new gyro-copter idea was made so that Dwarfs would actually look semi-cool while riding their mounts. More info should be coming soon (from other testers) when the NDA drops next week (MBJ said so on the WHA forums).
Also if you search the WAR forums on this site, you'll come across a thread about the mounts in WAR. In that thread, there is a guy that posted the concept art for each race's mount (minus the Magus).
Edit: NOOO!!!!! I'm in the double digits now!!!! :(

As much as I hate raising my post count....
AMD procs have the ##00+ naming convention to be easily comparable to Intel chips of the same type. So even though your chip may just be a 2.8Ghz rated chip, it is capable of performing equally to a 3.8Ghz Intel CPU of the same type. They did this because most people just look at the clock speed (the Ghz number) and determine which is best and don't bother to read into it anymore but just the clock speed alone is not enough to tell whether or not a cpu is "better" than another one. So this naming convention helps to alleviate the confusion consumers were having when comparing AMD and Intel CPUs.
While EA Mythic may be using this, I'd just like to point out the Jan 2004 date on this article. Which, to me, means they are refering to the OLD Warhammer Online done by that other developer before, then, Mythic took over and scrapped their project.
Still cool stuff, tho.
It'll be nothing like that wild quest they had. You aren't betraying anyone in WAR, they're the same Realm as you. It's your Realm vs theirs and you all have to work together. You aren't going to win if you just rely on your race, that's just asking to get your ass handed to you. Everyone on your side has to work together and because of that EA Mythic is making it as reasonable as they can to easily allow you to mix up with people from other races in your Realm.
They fully expect (and encourage) people to move around to the front where help is needed. If the Dark Elves are getting smacked around then they WANT the rest of the server to flock over there and help them out. It's not Race vs Race, it's Realm vs Realm and that can only be accomplished with teamwork and teamwork can only be rampant with easy access and transportation.
Do not fear anything taxing like the Betrayal Quest from EQ2. We're all in this together....Unless you're going Order, in which case I'll gladly chop off your head and hang it on my guild banner ^_^.
Edit: Bleh, gonna hit 10 posts soon...I'm talking too much lately...
