I can agree with you about the chat. No one is bothering to use it, less maybe guild chat. I was running around for about 5 days with an add-on that would spout random quotes in /shout (or whatever chat of my choosing) and not once did anyone say a word (except for one asshat that told me to go back to WoW, as I happened to change the random quotes to those of the WoW chucknorris addon).
This doesn't surprise me. I went to pick up my CE pre-order yesterday afternoon, only to find out they got in a whole "2". WTF?!?
So I wound up going to another store, within a decent driving range only to catch shit from an employee there because they couldn't find it.
Eventually I managed to make it home with my copy. BestBuy=Renowned @ssh0L3s
Yeah, so I decided to run the same check on my current server, Badlands. The highest is a 26, as of right before the server maintenance/cloning.
Yeah, RvR and PvE are the way to go. During the extremely short open beta phase, I hit 14 on my dwarf ironbreaker over a few days of play.
Funny thing though, I've been on headstart since Sunday and still can't make up my mind which server to play on, so I've got like half-dozen level 6s spread around. Doh!
So honestly, what's the point? Doing as much following the release of a WoW expansion is one thing, but what purpose does it serve in a brand spanking new game? Just to say you were the first one to cap and you did it in a week or two? And so now you're bored as hell because no one else is there to give you a "handy".
This is the whole reason I dumped my xbox 360, the "splooged in pants" achievement factor. I guess no-lifers Ftw! ![]()
