  • i've tryed all the mmos besides AoC and EQ and L2 of course theres some free to play ones i havn't and some p2p that i am forgetting but heck i've played a LOT of mmos...

    
    and dude from your post, you are either finding lack of direction in the games or your need a game that lets you become your own direction so that you don't have to follow the same path everyone else is. yah know what i mean? There IS NO GAME out like this currently. i would say Pre-cu swg but thats gone so....

    
    idk i feel the same way about mmos right now, im going to try vanguard for the sake of an almost no instance world and really give this sucker a play but i don't know how long it will keep me entertained, i didn't mind not haveing quests to point the way for me in star wars, i made my own legacy, my own story, my own path, thats what i know I am looking for i don't know if thats what you are looking for tho...

    your system isn't inadequate just don't run in highest GFX lvls, i run it on a 1.8 1 gig of ram (might even be 512...not quite sure.) geforce 6600 lappy, and like 512kb dsl connection. i don't expect to not lag AT ALL on my system its a laptop for goodness sakes but still i don't lag to terribly but i do hit spikes...

    P.S. im a Pre-Cu vet also, i could only get to lvl 35 in this game then i got bored of killing orks and boars lol. got to lvl 40 in WoW then the game just dies for me ::shrug::

    it wasn't crap, it was buggy as heck, glitched beyond compare, and a heck of a lot more fun then ANY story driven game ever will be. no matter what until Deva understand that there are people that don't want to be Shepherd(not sure how he spells his name sorry to all the die hard fans...) but want to be one of the guys that dies to help the hero, or to never even see the hero at all.

    that or you never played SWG PRE-CU or if you played it was too complex for you.

    Back on topic, Stargate is a great world and has potential but i don't know that much about it besides a little of the TV show here and there, a large sandbox game is just too much to expect out of the industry right now it seems, some one told me that this might be like Pre-cu but i doubted him, sounds like i just might be right in doing so lol.

    hope i didn't come of hard and mean just my views on things

  • hrm, not that i know of if you had a buddy pass left over you could just use that to download i guess but im not sure if VG even has buddy keys...have you check their main site? i know plaync does something where after having an account you can just download the game. but i HIGHLY doubt $OE does something like that...but worth a check, the game is really cheep online tho also i've seen it for like 5 bucks just check like ebay and stuff.
