Runes of Magic and Perfect world both look very much like WoW clones, and I'm more that certain that you have to buy items with real world money to be any good. I don't know, if I were going to play an online RPG I would rather it be pay to play or like Guild Wars where you buy the game and don't pay subscription, because all completely free games require you to buy stuff with real world money to actually compete.

Only downfall it is 15$ a month. But it has great Graphics, Guilds, Trading, Banking/storage, and PvP. and the 4 basic classes as well, Tank,  DPS, Healing, CC.

How is a monthly subscription fee a downfall? it costs a lot of money for the bandwidth that it takes to accomodate thousands of players connected to servers, it costs a lot of money to pay a support team that helps hundreds of players every day experiencing problems, it costs money to maintain multiple servers in proper working order, it costs money to pay a development team to create new content, costs LOADS of money to advertise and attract new players. I would gladly pay a subscription fee it meant quality playability.

But I will probably be going with darkfall, I hear AoC is full of empty promises.

    • Darkfall is a PVE mmo aswell
    •  I would like to see these people who scream for PvP only and bash the PvErs to create a PvP only guild.. I dare you to really, without PvE you won't have ships or siege weapons, try taking over a city like that.Would be pretty interesting to see them trying to repair thier weapons or build new ones without doing any PvE or dealing with someone who does PvE as well. Basically, any PvP activity in the game will be directly linked in some way to PvE as I understand it.

      Darkfall
    • Looking for guild!
    •   I'm 22 years old currently residing in Louisiana, I have a lot of interest in this new "darkfall" thing as I have played MMOS (mostly WoW but a few others thrown in) for quite some time and I have several accomplishments .. at least in WoW heh. But, This MMO is like nothing I have ever seen aside from maybe Oblivion and Mount and Blade of which both I am very fond of

I do believe that I will want to start my Darkfall career as a crafter because .. idfk making stuff in-game and seeing it tear-face is a pretty sweet idea to me. but in the future I will more than likely wish to move to more combat oriented positions or siege engine operation, possibly even naval ops.

My play time as of right now is infinite, but pretty soon I'll have on of those ,BLEH, jobs.. so my playtime will most likely be restricted to 7PM CST - 1AM CST on weekdays save some time for social life. I am a hardcore gamer though, I am dedicated to be the pwnerest mofo out there usually.. but since I'll most likely pick up crafting HOPEFULLY I can be the pwnerest crafter around without worrying about my time restraints.

I haven't done a terrible lot of research on Darkfall yet but I plan to.

Race/faction isn't an issue so much depending on how dedicated the guild is to make accomplishments (I play to roll faces, not look pretty), but if 2 equally appealing guilds approach me and one is of a darker race such as the Orc and the other is something fanciful as the Dwarf.. I will be heading for the Darkside just because, maybe I'm a little idealistic, like I said I play to stomp heads and if I can stomp the heads of those little kids that joined one side just so they could be a good guy, it will be all that much more sweet.

The type of atmosphere  I am looking for in the organization I join is layed back during casual screw around time, but very serious when stuff needs to get done. I am an experienced MMOer and I would appreciate any clan/guild/wtf-ever be very goal oriented and have an established leadership structure that doesn't cater to  powerhungry 12 year olds. And yes, even I would be willing to fill some leadership position if called for.

Thanking for hearing me out, I hope to hear from great guilds very soon. Please contack me via PM on these forums and I would me more than happy to provide you with further contact information.

    •  Has anyone played mount and blade? I personally find it pretty sweet and if I could find and MMO that emulates the "hack 'n slash" playstyle of it I would be all over it, imgagine world of warcraft but live combat instead of autoattack, actually DRAWING your bow and aiming it instead of simply left clicking your target... I would appreciate something like this, I think it would showcase the player's skill over time consumption for gear. Or the same could be said for The Elder Scrolls titles, action RPGs I thing they're called. Anything like this out there in the MMO or MMORPG world? Also, I would be interested in a game with an extensive crafting/ and or trading system.
