Same problem here. Subscribed til June and cancelled in good standing. When I open the launcher there is only an option to reinstate the account and no apparent way to login for the welcome back event.

May 19, 2008 <---- Wait so people were expected to notice less than 1 full day before release that DX10 wasn't going to be in at launch? Ya sure thing, btw most of those sites didn't have the info posted before 10am - Noon meaning folks likely wouldn't even see it on their lunch breaks lol.
While funcom is thrilled with the early success of Age of Conan, and proud of the game launching this week, the company regrets to inform gamers that the DirectX 10 version of the game will not ship with the initial launch...........
Age of Conan launches 20th of May in North America / Oceania and 23rd of May in Europe. More information about the game can be found on www.ageofconan.com

Thanks for taking the time to reinforce my points. I appreciate you letting me know that Funcom's official explanation is limited to a couple of lines and the other method of dispersing information is to be buried on thrid party sites.
The sites say "The extra development time will give Funcom time to implement more features in the DirectX 10 version of Age of Conan than originally planned. " and "building a DirectX 10 version worthy of Microsoft's great vision for the future of PC gaming" or others like the text you highlited in yellow.....have no reason for the delay. EE gave a reason as to why the delay and it just doesnt jive with the previous info.
One more time.......Funcom needs to take a page out of the Mythic playbook and just be open and honest about what's done and what's going to be done with the game. They could have simply said what he did in the interview at the outset. The why is as important as the when.
Reinforce your point? HAHA, you did see all those websites shared one thing and that was IT WAS A PRESS RELEASE, so I didn't reinforce your point, but I did reinforce showing that certain people simply spin and twist things into their own favour as you have proven not able to understand what you read, that's the only thing that with this reply above you have reinforced. Sorry !
I understand completely. I quoted from the sites you listed so there isn't any interpretation involved. It makes exactly the point I made in my OP that Funcom needs to be more up front and honest with informing its customers as to why a decision is being made instead of a couple lines released just barely before launch that few people saw. Not that it would matter anyway when some releases have no reason, others say that the delay is to make the Dx10 version better, and now EE says they were working out the bugs in Dx9.
If you really need to feel that you are right....ok...you win. Im not wasting more time on the topic. Enjoy the coolaid while you play your shitty game.

They are all one in the same. ![]()
If you really think that the reason of working on all the problems in the Dx9 version that EE said in the interview is the same as developing more features in the Dx10 version than they had planned.......I just can't help you.
