• • Why Don't I Get the Vet Trials?

    It's been said that you need to be signed up to receive email updates on SWG to get the vet trials, but my first vet trial (a bit over a year ago) just happened without being signed up.

    The first email I ever got about a vet trial was for the current one, and all three of my accounts are active for the trial.  I had already logged in to two of them before the email arrived :).

    Sorry, Charlie, but the NGE continues to suck.  It's not worth paying anything to play this wretched excuse for a WoW ripoff that, in typical SOE fashion, failed to rip off the things that make WoW a success.

    Everyone left BECAUSE of the NGE.  You cannot escape that fact.

  • What is seriously bogus about all this nonsense is that it assumes that everyone in the group is at the same level, because the penalties for grouping with someone not at your level are severe.  The only time you'll find a bunch of people at the same level is when they're 90s and don't care about XP anymore.

    My level 68 Jedi grouped with a bunch of people on Dant in the FS area to get a better drop rate, and her XP dropped from 900-1800 XP a mob solo to 1XP grouped.  Just to get the better drop rate on the collections crap.

    The level system sucks, blows, and bites, and I'll never pay another dime to SOE for SWG as long as the level system is there.  Their stupid game will never prosper with a level system so long as the rest of it blows, which it does.
