- Why so many MMOs encourage player masochism...
To be honest the only MMO I could tolarate for more than a week(and I tried a lot) is GW. From the begining the game was 0 grind, all story. You could just make a new character and simply follow the main missions and you wouldnt feel out of place because you aren't level X yet. But I guess its hard to classify Guild Wars an MMO however if GW 2 turns out to be GW with instances for the main missions and one giant uninstanced piece of land for everything else I doubt it would feel any different from GW as it is now though now it would clasiffy as an MMO.
