• • Who else has avoided the World of Warcraft?

  • WOWs graphics are too kiddie cartoony for me to spend any cash on it.

    Never payed for WOW and never will.

    Besides, Forums are the place where people show their ugliest sides anyway in case you haven#t noticed before. The anonymity of the Internet makes them forget about social guidelines and morals and just shows what kind of people they -really- are. That holds true for any Forum by the way.

     

    Again, I don't know what big -news- you try to bring us here. So there will be idiots. OK, *shrug* More people to ignore or kill in game then if they behave that way towards my GF or my friends.

     

    Seriously, the lengths to which people go to try and bash this game....

    There is NO comparing the crowds of WOW or AOC to EVE. EVE by far has the most mature adult player base (on average) then any other MMO. The learning curve asures that.

    Sexual harassment is a world different then the cut throat hardcore in game PVP of EVE.

    I agree nudity in AOC is helping to draw a bad crowd. Even the devs sound like pervs when they talk about it. They lied when they said it was just to be honest to the books. Thats a bunch of bull.

  • As with any new releasing MMO I will only try it on a free trial. I will not spend any cash before I can try the RELEASED game for myself.

    My beef with AOC is more twards certain content like PVP minigames, insta respawn for pvp with no risk, Nudity drawing a very immature base, that sort of thing. Preformance I will not even speculate until there is a released version to judge.

    Wow? No thanks. I could never get into Wows kiddie cartoony graphics.

    As for AOC, I will only try it when it's free. No I will not pay for a fileplanet account. They can bite me.

    Commercialism is the worst thing to happen to MMO's.

    Games I play PVP-EVE Where PVP is not a "minigame", and LOTRO for PVE. A very well done PVE MMO.

    Games I look forward to are neither AOC or WAR, I am looking at Earthrise, Fallen Earth, and Champions online.

  • SWG is a dinosaur even if they rolled it back to pre cu. It's engine is a frankenstien mess of years of bad programming.

    NGE is like duct taping wings to a bus to make an airplane instead of designing a plane from the start.

    I wouldn't play on the EMU or a rollback as I can't but any time into a game I don't know will still be live the next day. Longevity is very important after my experience with SOE loosing about everything I worked for in game.
