MORTAL ONLINE!!!!
I never hit 80, but I had similar oppinions on everything mentioned, except the assassin. Sorry to say... but circle strafing is over powered..... my assassin raped all the way while I leveled. And I mean, it was hands down the best for PvP. I was able to 2-1 many classes. It was just a matter of my personal skill. There were classes that killed me (ranger) because of snaring me... but as far as out healing my DPS, and out DPSing me.... it wasn't even close.
Assassin: you get the first few attacks in, they run, and you are on their ass the entire time, doing lots of white damage to them (which was alot while in unholy stance). They stop to heal which is a cast time, and you pull off a combo that does big damage, ontop of a DOT. You've successfully out damaged their heals, and pulled off a combo that is oh so difficult to pull off.
The melee in this game is excellent, as well as the PvP. However, the execution SHOULD have been a little more user friendly. I'm a hardcore PvPer, and it's really all I do in video games. I honestly believe I was one of the most skilled players on Bluesteel, as I would anihilate people 8+ levels consistantly. The assassin did exactly what an assassin class should have been able to do. Funcom got the assassin class right, and I give them lots of brownie points for it. For PvE, yes... assassins were very bad.... no doubt. This is the reason I stopped leveling my character after level 40, but I had a blast all the way up until then.

I would have to say Dark and Light and Roma Victor.
AoC a bad launch, get the fck out and get rid of that old ass E-Machine system and get with the program on new computers to play this game. A 2 gig system with a PCI or AGP is'nt going to cut it.
Any standard 2.0+ Ghz system / dual channel / 2+ gig of memory with any PCI-E 8600/8800 or 9600 will be able to play this game.
I played this game for the EA and for the first two weeks after launch... I will NOT tell you that. I personally loved the game, I just got tired of the lack of content at 40-50, and am now taking a small break from it, just waiting for that to get patched up.
And yea, AoC was a horrible launch. Not quite as bad as Funcom's last game, but still pretty crappy nonetheless. Even games like SWG, which was a true MMORPG (this game isnt even a MMORPG) only had problems like the loot bug, because of all the damn people playing. I havent seen an AoC server on heavy load in over a week now. People are leaving in droves. And to put the icing on the cake, the last patch Funcom threw at us made the game a lot WORSE. 1 step forward, 5 steps back.
All I can say... L.O.L.
Thank you for pointing this game out. I'll defintily keep an eye out for it.
w00t for Preorder. I'll have my mount right away :) .
But yeah, this is the VERY begining of the game. The economy hasn't bloomed yet.
