"Rip apart, remake it as your own", right? Yea, definively. I remember that.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to start any discussion, or "make a point" or an argument (let's pretend I still had any right or knowledge to do so °_°).
I just wonder, if their franchise wasn't that holy to its creators, why should it be to us (or rather you, since I left)?
Hm, I was rather interested in a direct quote of Rarebit or something (the only one I found there was about the original outline... I think).
Anyway, I just remembered to have read that statement myself (apparently, I was still around at that time). I even remember you or someone else saying "oh, now that I don't like at all, the game should be more true to the franchise" or something like that :)
"and recently Rarebit passed on the message that the Warchowskis had originally told Paul Chadwick he could do what he wanted, including ripping the story apart and starting over "
Got a link, please?
Hey, Trucidos, right?
I don't quite remember all the things you said before your ban (and then a few times when you created new accounts to throw in a few words once more), but as far as I do remember, you were doing far more than just "criticize how Sony runs the game".
As far as I remember, you were trolling and disturbing the forums for days in a directly disruptive and offensive manner, and it looked like you were TRYING to get banned and cause trouble, and your ban was nothing unexpected in the end.
Unless you can refresh my memory (or expand my knowledge) by something relevant, I'd say stop playing the innocent victim. "I once dared to speak out the truth and oh look what they have done unto me, they shut me up and deprived me of my player rights" - boohoo?
EDIT:
Apart from the boo-hoo part, which I simply couldn't resist to add - the ban explanation text in your image in no way contradicts your actions and your situation - so thanks for posting it aswell :)
They say it perfectly clear - you MAY post kinda stuff that disagrees with the devs or criticizes how they run the game, but you must not "troll", be "disruptive" and post stuff to "cause trouble", "stir things up".
Now guess which category your behavior back then (and a few short returns in shape of alternate accounts afterwards - just to add a few biting remarks towards Rarebit quickly before another ban) falls into.
And since I assume that the text you see when you're banned is in fact in accordance with the TOS, or EULA, or whatever, one can say you pretty much saw, and had it coming to you.
Just to avoid misconceptions, I am NOT trying to defend the devs or forum adminstrators - I just thought that letting someone else than you accuse SOE of disregarding Freedom of Speech and censorship wouldn't be such a bad idea.

(Zion etc.) So you can roleplay with other players for $15 dollars a month. A lot of players are strict roleplay fanatics, they talk ((ooc)) and all that nonsense. Oh and sometimes rarebit will log in as someone and play pretend too. Sorry sean, who gives a shit right and who is he anyway? So if you don't like hearing the same pseudo intellectual Neo conversation for the 500th time with cute brackets, stay away."
Hi, long time no see!
One question, did you write this right now, or did you copy and paste this from an earlier post on another thread?
I don't really know, but for future quotations, it would make sense to remove the bold-marked sentence from your disclaimer, because, guess what, it's almost a miracle I'm reading this entry, let alone happened to remember this forum even exists.
I don't have anything to do with this anymore, so why address me? I don't really care though, so you are allowed not to reply to this :)
By the way, the entire quoted paragraph is pure DS (= dog shit - pun intended) - I have read accounts of events / "role play meetings", and I can say "the same stupid Neo conversation with cute brackets" is simultaneously the most clichéd picture a rancorous Matrix critic can resort to draw ("the cinema hall was full of pimpled teeny boppers dressed like Neo", "MxO is full of stupid kids running around like Neo wannabes", "these crazy a(r)pe(e) freaks who prattle about Neo all the time"), a rather silly formulation, and pretty much as far from the truth as possible.
Conversations/discussions/dialogue in live events (or whatever you want to call them in order to make clear your opinion of them considering size, quality and importance, failing to realize that a group of volunteering players or a game dev logging in and organizing a gathering with a roleplay scenario is simply nothing else than an "event" by the very definition of the word, despite any high standards set by other MMOs) have all kinds of different topics, and sometimes, of course, it happens to be Neo, in an according situation/plot.
I simply don't understand what kind of silly premise you're basing this paragraph on, Freiheit. The game was designed and marketed as "telling a continuing storyline" and involving players in "events" that would inherently include RP as a fundamental element and self purpose.
Players, among other reasons, would log in to experience and "take part" in the storyline, to get to talk with "characters from the movies", and interact with "other operatives=players" - with or without influence on the outcome, it would still be "roleplaying" and "pretending".
Yet people like you or that "baff" dolt (I still consider him one of the biggest idiots I ever argued against on the web to this day) believe it made any shadow of a sense to ridicule the very principle of "NPC texts" and "devs logging in and playing pretend" because "they have nothing else to offer".
"IC" and all that nonsense - let's face it, our society wastes way too much time with this obsolete "fiction" nonsense, for some reason valuing this idiotic human trait called "fantasy" or something like that - thinking out people that never existed, thinking out sequences of occurrences and conversations that never took place, filling entire books with this waste, letting people "pretend" and "act" this UNREAL batshit and then showing it in in front of "audiences" or filming it on camera.
Come on, a dev logging in and "pretending" to be some "character" someone thought out in his head, that doesn't even exist?? Wake up, morons - everyone knows it's this "dev" (=janitor) with the nick "Rarebit" who just "plays pretend" because they don't have any budget to make expansions and "end game content", stop being crazy fanatics with brackets 'n'stuff, this shit isn't real man.
Get the drift?
If you're not interested in RP and all this "play pretend" bullshit, stay away from the game? Well, I'm not interested in gaming of any kind right now, so I generally stay away from video games. How's that?
I also don't give a shit about soccer, so I didn't follow the European Championships. So, dear reader, if you also aren't interested in soccer, don't watch it on TV and then go out on the street and make obnoxious uproar. Why should you do something you're not interested in??
Not interested in RP? Stay away from an RP game! No shit, Sherlock??
