      Matrix - Warner Brothers
      Vanguard - Sigil
      POTBS - FLS (not acquired)
      SWG - LA/SOE
These games with the exception of SWG, were ruined by their original crew before getting put on the station pass. It appears to me that SOE sticks with putting their most effort on their own big name titles, EQ and EQ2. While I was never a EQ player,  was an original pre-order, day 1 EQ2 player. I enjoyed it alot and from what I have seen it has only gotten better. Planetside was ok for its time, but honestly after the first few months folks realized they could go back to their own free FPS games and have just as much fun.
For  all the love or hate, SOE is moving in the new direction of MMO's. Namely: RMT and PC/Console gaming and they are not the only company to do it. NCSoft is rolling out NCCoin as well. Soe is going to have a small uphill battle with their Console MMO's mostly due to their reputation from other games they owned in the past, but the good part for them is thay are starting this basically unchallenged.

      My 2 cents.

Regardless of how you spin it, SOE has made either unsuccessful acquisitions or been unsuccessful in developing their games. They have yet to match the success of their first game.

This means they are bad developers AND bad analysts of other people's work.
We'll see how well the Agency does, but thus far, unimpressive.

Bad analysts of other peoples work?  No, I don't think they really ever had any intention of working on any of those acquisitions. Just pack them in the Station Pass and let them float for more $$$. It seems to have worked.
Reguardless of how you try to spin it, SOE is doing rather well. The Agency is only going to help them and the PS3.

They may be doing rather well in your eyes but I'd have to agree with Suvroc in his assesment of SOE, in that they take the quantity over quality approach to their MMOs so they have a ton of mediocre games on the station pass! Which in turn does make them money.

Oh absolutely, they definitely take the quantity over quality approach. the only games I see that they actually expended effort over was EQ and EQ2, their own titles, and I think both turned out rather well. SOE will continue to aquire mediocre, failing games to put on their subscription plan. MXO, Vanguard, POTBS and I'm VERY sure others in the future not developed by SOE will fall under their sub plan through agreements or aquisition. Thats is their method of gaining subs and it works.

I heard that vanguard has improved drastically since SOE took over.

And I have heard exactly the opposite. In fact, there is now a "Classic Server" movement among the players who haven't quit yet, precisely due to the poor changes that SOE has implemented.
Evidently they dummied down the game, just like they did with SWG.

I thought that things such as the performance has been fixed?

I haven't heard anything about that. You said you heard Vanguard had improved "drastically," without giving any specifics (you certainly didn't seem to be meaning performance). Have subs increased? I haven't heard that, have you? I have heard they fell if anything. If you read the forums it is definitely a mixed bag -- just as many say they NGE'ed the game as say it has improved. Those forums look a LOT like this place.

Knowing how MMORPG forums are run, it probably means things are mostly negative-- since they probably ban/delete negative threads there just like they do here.

Either way, I have heard they NGE'ed the game, and people left. Whether it performs better or not doesn't matter -- people make the same claims about SWG. Remove most of the game, it SHOULD perform better. Doesn't mean the game itself is better.

Well one of the main problems at the start of the game was the performance, if its been improved then that can be classed as a drastic improvement.
