OP is not lying, can people stop moaning about breaking the NDA and just be happy that FUNCOM have almost pulled a rabbit out the bag
I am enjoying this game, it has definite potential
Post #12 has the winner by far in terms of ingame story driven drama. I dont even play EVE and i heard about that as well as loved reading about it
I understand your concers but i do not think there is alot to be done.
The PvE element in Eve is not really deep enough if you absolutely close yourself of to PvP. Dont get me wrong, you can have enormous fun and can progress far in Eve without actively taking part in PvP through the market economy system. However, if you really want to excel is this field sooner or later your going to have to go through low security zones to get the best deals items etc, and for the majoity of the people who play Eve this IS the attraction of this game. If you know people to do this running for you then you could completely cut yourself off from the PvP part but this is the biggest part of the game. The wars between coorps etc make the market economy trading what it is. I really dont think Eve will attract many more subscribers pandering more to the PvE player, their success has come solely from the interation/wars between coorps, as well as the trading coorps that surround them (maybe joining a trading corporation is your best bet)
However, if you are relaying your stories truthfully it is a bit worrying how easy you can be destroyed in the high security zones.
Will be either WAR or Spellborn for me, or both!
Aion is not looking like my kind of game at the minute
