There are corps that help out new players, though you may need to check out the recruitment channels to find the right fit for you.
EvE revolves a lot around making friends and sticking to that group in one way or another since trust is a commodity. I doubt you'll get people to donate that much isk to you only due to the fact that you are still a trial account player, and even if you subscribe most poeple need time before they would trust giving you isk in any meaningful quantity.
Its mainly due to the fact that the majority of players will ignore any nw player asking for isk and for them there is no way to tell that you are simply an alt player looking for isk to transfer to your main.
My best advice is to pay the $20 and play for the 30 free days. Look for a good and helpful corp that fits your needs and as you go you'll learn ways to make the isk you need to maintain your account through in-game currency. There are TONS of helpful poeple out there and many corps do help out the rookie pilots get a foothold in the game.

It certainly doesnt, but what depresses me is the fact that the concept of PS lends itself soo well to an MMO and yet all that was done with the game is to make it a gear pve meatgrinder where you run the same places over and over again.
I loved the 1st PSO for the Dreamcast because it was something new for the team. But after these years nothing new has been done IMO to make it a great game.
EvE-O
I do look forward to game which can be as open ednded as EvE in a different style.
I trully disliked the UI in FFXI, but it was a good game imo. Mainly due to the familiarity of the FF universe. I did find it severely lacking in many areas...
All i saw was leveling and gear grinding. There was no true guild combat or a feeling of chaos one would normally get from a single player FF. In all the games theres some ominous thing about to happen but the MMO felt bland, no real pvp made it feel that way to me. It did do many things right and i hope the build up on it.
IMO the PS2 held FFXI as far as expansions (this is the reason you get similar armor sets with diff colors and names) because of the limited HD spade and system specs. Considering the new consoles r much more advanced i hope that a multi platform relkease wont hinder the future of the game, but one can only speculate.
Do you Role Play?
