lol no matter how bad a game is, the editors of this site never gives a negative review.
As it stands, That new pvp system is more carebearish than WoW. Atleast in WoW people
dont get penalised for pvp and ganking.
people with the 9800 serise cards still cant run the game smoothly. good luck.
Now dont get me wrong, ive been following Aoc since they first annonced it many years ago. Every step of the way i was watching and i was sooo excited to pre-order and play. The few months before it was released i started reading the leaked beta info trashing the game all over the internet and i started to worry.
Even with that, i still wanted to judge for myself. Once pre-order beta came around, i started to see a slipperly slope when they charged me 5 bucks to play the game for the earily release, which was advertised for those who pre ordered. I was a bit ticked off because they where basicly milking my excitement for every penny they can get.
5 bucks isn't much but its the principal. If someone robbed you of 1$ arn't you gonna be upset? If you say no, then either you're a liar or a coward.
I shook that off and was still excited to play (along with my guild) those earily release days we were suppose to get was cut short in half becuase of all the downtime that was caused by issues that SHOULD have been delt with before release. They didn't even compensate us for it! either give us a few days of play added on our time or give us back our money! again a few extra days isn't anything to me but its the business practise that ticked me off.
Before i quit the game, i was in one of the most populated pvp servers, it was one of the originals (before they opened more) so all the fanbois and preorder people crammed in there first to get that headstart. And i gotta tell you, at the time i quit, my guild of 80 unique players were all MIA. Last time i logged in at prime time and i was the only one on. I checked to see who was the last one on and it happened to be our GL who was last seen 10 days ago. Everyone esle was raking up 15+ days of inactivity.
People are dropping off like flies and any fanboi that tells you otherwise is a filty, dirty, liar.
funcom's attitude twords negative posts are just unprofessional. They banned my guild mate's forum privilages because he posted a screen shot of what the GM said to him when he had a valid complaint.
Basicly there was a need/greed rolling bug that was JUST recently fixed. Sometimes when you roll need, you'll roll a 0 and if someone happen to roll greed, the greeder would get the item over the need. This happen to my party and a BOP item was given to the greed. We petitioned a GM to do something about it, whether its to transfer the item over or spawn it on him etc. Instead the gm told us to simple "go farm for another one" and closed the petition.
We go angry at the poor customer service so we posted it in the forums to inform funcom.. they didn't take it too well.
Half of the "I quit" posts get deleted, how do i know this? because i book marked a few only to find them missing the next day.
They do this to protect the company (which i understand) but this is basicly fraud. They might aswell get a spin doctor and make up fake numbers to the share holders.
Since i got banned on the offical forums for posting this, ill post it here:
it's a comic strip found on this site's front page.

How do you feel about advertising inside games?
