I am not sure but I believe WOW was the first MMO to charge $15 a month.
$15 has been the standard since Everquest in 97. Was like 10-12 bucks for games like UO and Meridian 59 before that.
I don't know how many times this has been covered, but a second quarter report of any year covers info from April 1st to June 30th (which it states in the report). The report was released in August. AoC had 415k subscribers as of June 30th, i.e. -10k subscribers a day at the time. Based on a stock valuation I read a while back and their actual price, they could be as low as 30-35k subscribers.

...another voice of reason strikes. I'm happy COD 5 is coming out Nov 11, prior to wrath, so I can finally get both games out of my head. The way I see it is warhammer fans = extremely loud, wow-haters with uncertain future and wow players = empty shells who've hopelessly lost their souls with a very certain future--playing wow like zombies as long as they keep it up.
You may be onto something there, grey
When I played City of Heroes every ex-wow player I ever met LOVED the game, I even had a Wow GM on my global friendlist. Whenever the comparison came up between games I would say coh has the best fighting in the business and across the board they agreed. Pvpwise tho, the game's very unbalanced, very few hero archetypes can solo effectively in pvp, every villain archetype can.
Letting the same ol' cornballs design it. No adult male over the age of 40 that uses the words "cool" and "awesome" as often as these guys do, and about crap no less, is gonna design anything you wanna play. When you buy a "next-gen" game from these guys Its like electing a man whose been part of the status quo for 26 years running on a platform of change, plan on being disappointed. Great games are made by true artists, not market researched, buzzword dropping, groupthinking asshats.(300)
