Ok about 4 months ago, I hated wow too, but my friend got wrath of the lich king and sent me a scroll of ressurection. After playing a little while Wrath of the Lich king came out. I have to say I was very impressed by it. This is coming from a 5 year EQ veteran. So I know how easy wow is to play however with this newest expansion blizzard did make the mobs a little tougher. It is not that you can't kill anything two levels higher than you. But the the spawn rate is crazy fast. No i wasn't 70 going into northrend but am 72 now. I am not decked out in pvp or raid gear. But my feral druid from the expansion pack gear I am up to almost 17k hp in bear form, almost 13k in Tauren/Cat form. Almost 3k Attack power in cat. But anyways, thats not what this is about. I am just saying I resubbed again. I also understand what the original poster is saying.
"If you can't beat them, join them."
There is not another game out there on the market that can compare to WoW atm. Yes WoW is EASY MODE. But, once you get past that point and realize that the Quests, Instances, Crafting are all fun. Then you can accept the game for what it is.
Last Time I played , the Cleric as the main healer. I had a 70 druid and I could only pop off 6-8K heals not Complete heals.
OK, all I can say is. Why do they call them Massive Multi Player Online Role Playing Games if all we do is solo? Might as well make it a PS3 or Xbox360 game that is 1player lol.
As far as raiding...I like how WoW has done raiding...I did not ever raid in wow but not the point. They have dumbed it down quit a bit. what is it 10 man raids? Thats pretty easy to get together I would assume. Not like my days in EQ where it was 40-60-80 man raids. Ya there was alot of us lol, and spend hours upon hours for these raids. Don't get me wrong they were fun...but they were like a second job.
Back to the topic. MMOs Need group outside of Raid Content or Instances. And it doesn't take hours to find a group if you have to group to progress. It only takes hours to find a group if you don't have to group to gain anything.
I have to agree. I have found myself going from game to game playing for about 3-5 months and wonder to myself what was missing. I have come to a conclussion. It's the fact that almost every game now can be solo'd with ease. I miss the prime of EQ and all 5 years that I played it. I never found it hard to find a group. I could solo if i wanted to being a Druid. "Quad Kite FTW" lol. What I really miss is the fact that in games now-a-days You don't need all the classes that are made available. But sometimes like WoW for example you don't need anyone else at all. You can grind to 70 in less than a month. and then in another half a month grind all the pvp honor you need. and whats the point in doing the arena? give it a couple months or so and bame you can get it with honor.
I say it should be solo play from 1-30 or 40. then from 40 to 60 or 70 which ever is the max level should be group. and don't make it kiddyfied like wow solo content. Example- I am 34 in wow i Can kill anything below me and anything 4 levels above me. The only thing I can say about that is overpowered. You shouldn't beable to kill anything 4 levels above you. 1 level above you I can see.
I dunno I just hope The Old Republic Online ownz all face lol.
Why does Directx 10 matter its for Windows Vista only right?
