This game is going to rock God...
It's the most "dead" multiplayer game I have ever played.
Nothing on chat... you can wonder around for an hour and rarely even see another player.
"PVP"? I think I've maybe seen two flagged players in a week.
In fact, "dead" is not even the word for it... you go to the main AH and you can hand out next to it for 30 minutes and you MIGHT see one other person.
The game is just lifeless, it's just a pointess game and it's boring.
You really don't have any sense of being in a "world". It's just separate unconnected areas with cut scene flights between.
I agree 100%...
This game may as well be single player against bots. The only reason it's not is because then they would'nt get a monthly subscription fee.
I just watched the video on eurogamer http://www.eurogamer.net/tv_video.php?playlist_id=13912
This is just incredible... I played WOW for the 1st two years, tried AOC, and just got Warhammer.
WOW was a fun game until they ruined it with Battleground grinds and x-pacs, AOC was pretty but was no fun to play, Warhammer feels like WOW, I'm trying to get into it, but it just feels like more of the same.
But this Darkfall video just blew me away... The graphics look incredibly fluid at some points. Granted the world looks pretty chunky and bland in some scenes, but as many learned from AOC, graphics mean nothing if there's no game behind them.
One of the best (and most fun) RTS games of all time was Total Anihilation. They graphics were nothing to flip out over but it was just fun as hell to play.
Why isn't this game getting more press?
This game is the future.
It's way too dark... lack of a gamma control is inexcusable. The only way I could play was to turn the lights off in the room.
