    No, he doesn't NEED to know the previous shenanigans... but if he was a wise consumer, he probably should know that the game he currently enjoys and investment he is currently making, probably will be taken away from him, probably sooner than later.  I personaly like to have some assurance that whatever character I build in an MMO will stay safe and play consistently over the years I plan on spending with said toon. I like to know that when I log in to the game tomorrow, it's gonna be the same as it was today. That assurance cannot be given in any SOE product as we have all learned the hard way.

    So if the OP doesn't mind the fact that his fresh new toons days are already numbered in one way or another, all the power to em. Enjoy. Just don't say we never told him so.

     

    I don't know why people arn't just happy to let people enjoy a game and have to spread propoganda. I think speculating about the future with no real fact is a difficult game. I'm sure you're upset but at the same time I think people should accept that SOE didn't create SWG to personally screw you over.

    The problem you have here, pally, is that these are merely the points of statement you have taken to misunderstand and/or misinterpret.

    You want to go flogging that particular dead horse then so be it but you will eventually have to accept that you can't put words in people's mouth and have them say whatever suits your argument or particular game induced fury. Fact remains your ability to digest and comprehend what others are saying is on par with a 5 year old.

     

    Edit: To go on and blame the wording of the OPs statement because you can't understand what he's saying is laughable because I and, I think, most others reading it had a perfectly good idea as to what he was saying. To blame everyone else for your shortcommings will leave you a very unpopular person.

    aside from completely missing that... your saying that every vet would like the game if they suddenly got amnesia. That's stupid. I understand and agree that some might disallow themselves from enjoying the game because of their grudge, but it's a completely different kind of game then it used to be. That's why most vets don't like it. And if the minority of begrudged suddenly allow themselves to open up, who's to say they'd like it as much, or able to like it for as long? I think many of them have valid reasons not to open themselves up for more potential abuse. Even if they would like the game it's like cheese in a mouse trap.

    I don't see where he's assumed to have any knowledge of the on goings, merely postulating as to hate the game gets.

    So thanks but I didn't miss anything .It does, however, appear you misunderstand and seem to be wanting some kind of argument. The guy is just enjoying the game and wants to tell others, no need to be so defensive.

    Where the hell am I saying that "every vet would like the game if they suddenly got amnesia"? I wouldn't even know about that nor would I make outlandish claims. You really have comprehension problems and seem to be beating a deep seeded grudge that makes you angry and argumentative. Whatever SOE did to you as a child I hope for the sake of your happiness you can one day move on
