I've been curious to try VG as well and I have a couple of questions about it. My first is how solo-friendly the game is. I solo about 70% of the time. Is soloing pretty viable in VG? Next, how are the server populations and which is the most populated? Obviously this is for the other 30% of the time I like to group up.
Thanks in advance!

1) LotRO. I admit it's a derivative game, but if you're a Tolkien/LotR fan you should be playing this game. It trumps every other game I've played when it comes to PVE, lore, and story driven content. PVP ho's need not apply tho...but very little imbalance because of this. Great community. Great developer that listens and releases new content regularly. mmorpg.com ratings reflect this. It's user rating is heads and shoulders above all the other games listed. But for the most part it's ignored because it doesn't have a heavy pvp aspect.
2) EVE. Deep. Complex. Daunting...but not for everyone. I wish it had and exploration options where you could do missions down on planets with an actual avatar. Man, if it had that...it might be the greatest mmo ever.
3) EQ2. pwned by it's own timing, and underestimating the WoW Addiction.
4) SWG. You know what happened there. Good --> bad.
5) WoW. In the beginning, great. Highly polished, easy to market, runs on a fricken 8088.
But...now it's literally earned it's nickname of World of Gearcraft. It went from a exploration/lore based game, to a fricken gear progression game. The developers lost their way, but they don't care because they have a captured audience of brainwashed lemmings paying them every month. Responsible for making mmos mainstream. This is both good and bad.
Though my list looks a bit different, I like your list and the reasonings behind the listings. Good show.

Well, its there job to test everything before release, why wasn't all this crap found, reported and fixed allready?
Too many people wanting to play the game before anyone else instead of actaully testing the bloody thing? me thinks.
Man, I hope you're kidding, otherwise I hope you're sterile.
Beta testers are another source of information for the dev team, but they are never the reason that a game belly flops or ships with bugs. Internal testers are paid to find the bugs, the associate producer and various leads are required to sort through the bugs, prioritize them and distribute them for fixing, and any bugs submitted by beta testers are considered an added bonus. Mostly the flood of beta testers are there for testing server load. Blaming beta testers for a dev shipping a broken game is just inane.
Wow, so many to choose from, but i'll give it a shot:
1. Horizons
2. Matrix Online
3. Asheron's Call 2
4. Hellgate London
5. Star Wars Galaxies
And a dishonorable mention to Lineage 2.

With that said, can I have your stuff?
Yes..it would be quite pointles if someone like you would post "I am quiting"
...
But when outstanding community member like Elkial says he is quitting. Somebody who wrote more constructive posts text, than some of gamers here read in their whole life (including school material)
Than it is a sad day , and a loss for community as whole ...
Get over yourself.
Would you rather see a game release pushed back a year or have the game release witha few bugs that will be fixed?
