    As said with the game before, graphics are not the best but there seems so much variance in what you can do, and not the regular cookie cutter mmo.

    Just look where they put their prio's, making expressions on chars .... OMG thats going to make me re-sub ..... just a big lol! The game looks amazing i can agree on that, but thats it! I can look on nvidia promo vids or play single player games if i want awsome leet gfx =)

     

    You realy have no idea how things work, the people responsible for charactor features will have nothing to do with other parts of the game like coding, items bugs ect. Do you want then to just sit there and do nothing....

    Don't believe the crap you read on these forums. You really think they are going to turn around the AoC nightmare in less than 6 months? Won't happen, trust me. Sure they will make small changes every couple of weeks but under the surface it's still the same boring game that people learned to hate. I would wait for at least a year before trying it again.

    New Game Director is a good thing. But seriously.. you think Craig can change everything in a few weeks? FC still has the same incompetent game designers and coders and no amount of motivation and good leadership will make them do a miracle patch. Sure, management is important and CAN make a difference but it takes TIME. Lots of it. You need to hire and fire, make organizational changes, etc.

    Craig said some good words about the future but that's just what they are, words. I could quit my job and become FC's new Game Director and write 10 pages about how we are going to change this and implement that, but it doesn't mean shit. Don't listen to their words, wait for the results.

    Also I recommend you do NOT listen to guys like "CobraSolidus" from Norway (!) who came out of blue the same time FunCom stock hit rock bottom, and writes many posts every day telling how AWESOME the game is or is going to be. I mean, are people blind? Don't you see that clearly this guy is affiliated with FC in some way and is trying to get more people to finance their MMO disaster? And I'm sure he's not the only FC employee visiting these forums regularly.

    Personally I will never give FC another cent of my money, not even if they made the MMO of my dreams. It's about a principle. We need to send a message to developers who lie and deliver incomplete MMO's.

    I'm looking forward to seeing FC go down in flames. I just feel bad for all the hard working low level employees who were betrayed by the management and had no part in this fiasco.

     

    What makes you the judge of what people should or should not play. Let everyone make there own minds up, im really fed up of seeing ridiculous threads like this but I just can't refrain myself from replying, if just 1 person see's that your view isnt the only view, im happy.

    The best way to see and find out about a game is to play it yourself. Its very rare to find unbiased opinions from forums.

    Wow, people are still saying the game has 400k subs? For the love of God people, those numbers are from the Q2 report! Say it with me.."Quarter 2 report." Which means June. Not in August, when they reported those numbers, but June.

    As you seem to know somthing we don't, show us the proof of less than 400k subs please?

    Darkfall has already done a good job of getting the word out.  I doubt that there are many current MMO players that don't know about it.  It's actually been a tool that has been used in MMO forums everywhere to compare and contrast different development philosophies.  I know that I first heard about Darkfall on the DDO forums, went and investigated it last year, and have since written about it at least a dozen times across a variety of forums.

    I wouldn't call Darkfall niche, either.  Games with only limited PvE or stadium-like PvP are "niche."  Darkfall has the potential to appeal to a very wide audience.  That is actually a problem for me, as appealing to a wide audience has gotten many a decent MMO into trouble down the road.  As far as past comparisons, Darkfall could be as good as Ultima Online or the original Star Wars Galaxies (I've heard good things about both), or it could have gameplay problems like Shadowbane, Age of Conan, et al.  Nobody really knows yet, not even the developers.

    I fully expect Darkfall to do as well as Age of Conan during it's initial launch.  Age of Conan sold 800,000 copies of the game (even though many people who bought it probably couldn't actually play it).  If the game functionality is there, I also expect Darkfall to actually increase subscriber numbers from that initial launch.

     

    HAHA what? You think Darkfall will have 800k sales at launch? And that everyone playing an MMO knows about it? I'd bet if you went into any WoW city on and WoW server and asked what people thought about Darkfall, most would say "Darkwhat?"

    I agree Raith. But thats probably because 95% of the WOW players think WOW is the only MMO!
