Post the results of DXDIAG, (DirectX diagnostics), so you can post your PC stats....your PC info will be on the first page after executing it.
If you don't know about DXDIAG, Google it for your own benefit. Most if not all MMOs list the system requirements to play their game.
From experience I can tell you the issues may not have anything to do with your PC components.
Without getting into extreme amounts of explanation and detail...
Call your ISP and get a Tech to come out and test your Download/Upload speeds. Also get the Tech to look at 'their' Terminal and the cable into your house.
Your Post title is misleading....WoW players, Fanboys or NOT, are not necessarily WAR bashers.
I'm sick of people like you that blame others wrongly, generically lumping people into a self defined category.
Just got home, saw this post, went to Fileplanet, log on, got key...

As mentioned above you need a 64bit OS, Vista if you want DX10 ( minimum Home Premium). You could also fit faster memory with that motherboard. As also mentioned above I would shop around a bit for lower prices. As it stands that system would run AoC on medium settings fine I should think.
Lotro highest on everything, DX10 mode. Fury DX10 without problems, so 64bit OS is not needed.
The rig looks nice. Go for it!
DX10 is still an option not a requirement. Same for 4G of ram .
64bit OS is still not perfected at this time and is also not needed for any MMO at this time.
DDR3 is also being improved and a bit spendy compared to DDR2 which will more than handle the need.
