I bet you those interns are very happy to be getting the opportunity and industry experience, even if they're working hard for low wages. If they can do good work, they'll be at the top of the list to be hired full-time by the company at a later time. Either way, having this position on their resume puts them miles ahead of those without it when applying elsewhere. This is a win-win, and I'd like to see it happen more often.
I only played this briefly in open beta, but I'm impressed with the thoroughness and detail of their solutions to problems like this. If they're applying this sort of care to the entire game, I suspect this one will become well worth playing at some point (assuming it's not there already).
WoW, that typo got fixed fast... Ever get the feeling you're being watched? ;-)
"Wrath of the Lick King" ? LOL! Maybe they can get Gene Simmons to do his voice?
Curate, I agree with your comments, except I don't think it's nearly "early enough" to start thinking about fixing this. The game's been out, what, 5 months now? And by the sound of it it will take several more to try to do something about this, followed by several rounds of inevitable tweaking & balancing. Isn't this why they have prolonged betas? 9 months post-release is too long to fix a fundamental gameplay flaw that is driving away players.
Ganking is why I never played original UO (although I played nearly everything else since), and ganking is why I never seriously considered buying PotBS, although it was relatively fun in the limited open beta time I had with it. <edited for typo>
