That liked the Wilderness removal, Grand Exchange updates? RuneScape was full of scammers trading items for way more than what they're worth, and since the Grand Exchange came in prices began to regulate. Almost every major MMORPG has some sort of Auction like system, why should RuneScape be any different?
The Wilderness could have been kept, but the recent addition of PVP Worlds makes up for it imo. The level limits and stuff make it way more balanced than the Wilderness ever was.
Opinions?
Runescape had a real community back in the day, now all it has is brainless kids sucking on their thumbs.
Items are worth the value people give them so to say the grand exchange made them worth what they really were is inaccurate and dishonest. Those games with those auction systems that your talking about have free trade and they get to decide the prices they set for their items. The recent addition to pvp AKA pvp worlds are worse then Bounty hunter and are so flawed there is no point in even playing them. The removal of the wilderness, free trade, and free staking in the duel arena destroyed the very fabric of the game.

Since you say Jagex fails with all it's updates since the wildy was taken out, would you really want them to try to make a necromancy skill?
I honestly don’t care what jagex does now since I don’t play anymore and never will until they sell the company, I’m saying that they should have implemented necromancy instead of summoning.

I like the idea of summoning creatures to help you fight and boost skill levels. Its a great idea, but the way you level the skill itself up and having to make pouches is just tedious at best, and it takes away most of the fun and lots of gold.
About Necromancy, they already have some dead looking familiars already. Making it Necromancy wouldn't change the concept of Summoning, it'd just give it a new name which wouldn't accomplish much. And I can just imagine using bones to summon them, that'd be worse than what's implemented now :O
If you think necromancy is just summoning but with dead monsters you're a fool, and if you think mixing pokemon with runescape was a good idea then you're an even greater fool.
Please tell me how Summoning and Necromancy are such different concepts that one will make the update so much better. They both revolve around summoning something.
Necromancing is about summoning the power of the dead and using it in dark magic, summoning undead is just a part of it. with a necromancy skill you could drain the life out of a living being, reanimate fallen enemies and use their skills against others, make yourself undead, fuse the bodies of your fallen foes together to make undead flesh golems, summon a bone cage to protect yourself from an attack etc.

Summoning just doesn’t work right with runescape, it makes runescape feel like pokemon(since every high level has a familiar following them all the time). Before summoning came out I don’t think I have ever heard a player ask for it or talk about how it would be cool “to have a summoning skill”. When summoning came out the noob player base reaction was “0mg s0 c00l Pl0xers moore!”(because most of them are kids) while the vets reactions was “wtf is this crap”, but the sad truth is no one really wanted summoning, they wanted necromancing.
Yeah I agree with you. Nobody really talked about or ever really wanted summoning nor necromancing for that matter, but necromancing would go better with the game.
Well I wouldn’t say that, I know a lot of people that have been talking about necromancing for a long time in runescape because jagex would always hint about it. That’s why they were so surprised when summoning came out because they were expecting necromancing since it was hinted to be the next skill for years.
