    Well, I'm a Veteran Newsletter subscriber, and a BOOM Comic promotion candidate, but so far it looks like I've struck out on both accounts.

     

    Any guilds in beta with a spare key looking for a mature 30something with job and wife kind of recruit? :)

    Seriously, the IP is old, worn out, now very trite and just flat out dull.  TIme to create a new universe, a new world to explore and write books about and film movies about.  Let Star Wars die.  It was fun while it lasted, now let it RIP.

    I hate to say it, but he's right.

     

    The WAR fanbois all laughed at AoC when it launched without advertised content.  Now WAR's doing the same thing.

    I think the lesson to be learned is never trust an MMORPG company, be it Mythic or Funcom or Blizzard....  They're all liars and snake-oil salesmen.

     

    Oy.

  • I think one of the things that'd make me return to LOTRO is the removal of the built-in gimping of the Monster Players.  Again, the IP (mobs being inherently weaker than the good guys) is restricting the game's fun.

     

    If the MPs were on equal footing as the FPs, then you might have more exciting PvP.
