I love this graphic style, but do you know when it is going to be released?
*sigh* It's my parents credit card, so i'm not sure if they are going to want me using it on some free trial. Oh well, guess it won't hurt to try.
I think that WoW was pretty successful it what it was trying to pull off. Though I'm not sure if millions of people are playing anymore...or just using it as an advanced chat room.
Even though I do love Diablo 1 and 2, they are not mmo's. I think that they did probably help with the genre. I was thinking about starting WoW actually. I have played AoC for a bit, and I love it....but sadly it doesn't have enough to keep me hooked right now. In 6 months, maybe a year i'll probably go back to it. By that time it should be pretty good. I also had thought about playing Ultima online, but I can't get the 14 day trial to work, so i'm not sure.
I think that it has a decent ammount of immersive value, but it needs variety. I think once they fix the crafting, add the pvp system, and add a few extra things for fun...such as things like drunken brawling it will be tons better.
What characteristics of an MMORPG do you look at most?
