When I first started playing again I logged around 50 hours for the first 7 days of play. This has declined as I've gotten further in the game and I am now around 40 hours per 7 days. Generally I can play 5ish hours on a weekday, more on weekends.
I haven't logged a session greater than a few hours at one time in the game, however if I have played a few hours I have not noticed any stability issues at all with the game. The same with any game actually though.
May I ask? How may hours a week do you work? And are you married and have children?
And I think it is more than stability. We are discussing issues with how the mechanics work, how the visuals look. glaring issues with say textures or models, animations, fonts...and broken mechanics like dungeons that kick you out...the list goes on.
I think there is a correlation to how many hours a person plays and how they view these problems (less hours equals happier with the game whether others see problems or not)
20-30 hours, I'm not married but I'm a student. Granted I'm not taking classes right now because I wanted to take the summer off, but in about a month I will be again. So when that time comes I'll probably be playing less, who knows though.
I love the style of the game honestly. The style and look of the game is really what made me decide to pick it up again, I overlooked the more important part - gameplay. That is what has me playing less, I find the gameplay -- as I progress more and more, with rewards (levels) taking more time to obtain -- just dull. For example, the combat system seems to have this weird pseudo turn based style to it, where you do one normal swing and then a special.

Sorry if you want to raid in WoW all your off time to do it...
Dont know if you have raided in it, but it takes a good 3 to 4 hours to do kara with a new group. 2 hours if your all over geared and know the fights.
And that is just 10mans. SSC and TK take a long ass time.
The Illidan fight is 25 minutes long.
THe game does not cater to taking less time to do things.
I know what raiding is like in WoW, the problem with raids is they have too much clearing to be done. If more raids in WoW were like Gruul and Mag it would be a pretty good endgame. In the overall scheme of things, yes it does take less time to do things in WoW and most MMO's post WOW.
True both games can be easy, that's where the beauty lies in MMO's in a post WoW world, if you want to do something and have limited time - you can.
I have heard LOTRO raids are tank and spank for the most part, and everything that I have seen from instances up to this point would indicate that is highly probable, of course I can't say for sure. In WoW endgame raids can be pretty complex the further you progress in both dungeon and overall endgame. Let's not turn this into a WoW vs LOTRO thread tho. ![]()
I've completed the first 3 books, I don't know where to find book 4 though. I'm guessing in Rivendell due to book 3 closing out there though.
