Closed, removed and will not be bothering again, this game is far too easy and sadly unispiring for me. I am now an MMO lost soul again and need a sandbox game.

Who ever said that the first 20 lvls were not good ?
And then we have a "player" coming saying the game is now great and isn't evern passed starting area....
Im sorry but the starting area is probably the MAIN reason I will never come back to AOC. I played it now like 50 times since CB and I really hate the place now. The desig of AOC as a linear game is just one more proof how badly things have been handled from start to finish.
Its just badly designed game in core mecanics. Personally I would have made many starting areas and made a nice 3-4 way DIFFRENT storyline with speech at the core quests instead of spending 10 gb on it in Torture.
I have to agree with you here and I will not be fooled, these games companies need to get it right from the off and not 6 to12 months down the line when they finally start sorting out the big issues. I always try and go back to see if things have changed about 9 months or so, but i'll not be ever going back to any Unfuncom game again, two games and although AOC did not suffer from the same problems as AO did they have not learnt at all, fools...
I went and tried Vanguard and they have now brought a new stat area/island which introduce some nice noob items which give you a good start off the isle, but again I am reluctent to re-sub until they sort the high end out, which they appear to be doing atm. I think if the OP has a better rig you should try VG and then you will not go back to AOC.
I need another sandbox rather than linear game i'm getting bored out of my tit's with all the junk which has been thrown at us over the last two years. I have returned to Eve just to get some playtime in.
I think it comes down to choice, I do not think anyone should tell anyone else how to spend the money their earn from RL. If anyone choose to buy ingame items/gold then so be it, I do not feel it changes the way I play any game. The only thing I do not like about gold spammers is just that and I always /delete/ignore and report them.
I play game to make game gold all the time as I enjoy that part of the game making money both in RL & in games gives me a kick. I have never maxed out any character in any game and I have played them all. But I have a very healthy bank balance with all my toons and I have more toyz than Santa can deliver too.
But why should anyone else care about weather the person who baught gold is cheating, they are playing the game how they want and lets not beat about the bush how many people disobey rules everyday of the week in the world. We all do so the fact we agreed to obay the game rules is bullshit too as no one cares and no companies take any further action because they want your subs.
Now I am not say we should all go and break the law but these game companies are their own worst enemies and if they started to uphold the rules they put in place then it would sort it all out, but they also have to protect us too which I feel they do not so they get what they deserve imho.
I have been given gold from players in game, does that mean I am breaking the law, No!! but they may of bought it and I have taken it knowing do you really think I give a shit, No!! because I collect in game money like others collect items. In the end we will end up beating ourselves up to check where the coin is coming from and not everyone has the time to commit to games due to RL and family life so I say let people spend their hard earnt cash how they choose...
Ask your self this too, do you think the people who are buying this gold come on here to respond, well I doubt it because they will looking on AH through the games to see what they can spend the coin they just bought so again it is pointless getting upset about it, though I can imagine you will feel better after airing your opinion on this matter like myself too.
Personally I have never had the urge to buy such coin but if I ever felt it would be worth the investment I may look at that for an option and if I had the money to buy ingame coin then I am sure I could also afford to replace the game to start again if I did get banned, though I have never ever heard anyone who has been banned for this kind of thing.

I would always advise people to try things for themselves, and to ignore strong opinions either way. It is very easy to mislead.
That is true, but the big question is: Why shouldn't people get Guildwars instead? Same instances, but only one server for each language(well, 2 for english), no monthly fees, better programming and loads of content?
D&D is made so it should work perfectly in computer games and DDO have some nice ideas. But the game is to similar to Guildwars which costs less and is a better game.
And why didn't they make the game in a popular D&D world instead like Forgotten realms, Ravenloft or Dragonlance?
No, Turbine should start from the beginning and use the open world from LOTRO, mix in DDOs combat system and keep the stuff from the dungeons. Then place it in a more popular gameworld. And give us all friggin' 20 levels, they can always add the epic levels from D&D later if they want something for the expansions. And only one server for each language. Turbine can really do this![]()
I have to agree with you here i was in beta of DDO and then played it and stopped as I felt the game was lacking in fun, I will never return to it no matter what they do. I am fed up of poor games getting better three years down the line. They should get it right off the cuff.

Darkfall isnt special. Its just a sandbox MMORPG. When i thinks about it, its a real MMORPG. Not one of those "single player online" things we mostle see nowdays.
And 90% of all MMO players today dont even know what the hell sandbox is! Thats what makes it.... special.
Here here enough said.
Are you still playing (or subscribed to) your first MMO?
