Aye Dem will definitely plan to give the 1st Ammendment a bending for sure.
WIth a siege on citizens like Joe the Plumber I have no doubt there will be a revisit of the "fairness doctrine". This threat against conservative radio will follow. I have no doubt Fox News Channel itself will be besieged after that.
A plan that is currently under effect for a minority that will be brought to a majority sounds good on paper. Here's the problem though. With higher demand comes higher prices. With more money allucated for that insurance structure comes higher prices. That plan would fail because everyone would be under one system.
Remember my milk reference? No it doesn't speak for a complicated plan like a health care plan but it's an example of what goverment can turn sour in with a more simpler task.
Anyway the current Medicare system is corrupt. It's common for the medical field to take those with medicare cards first and those with private insurance later because all they have to do is pratically run them through a machine almost like a credit card. Cha Ching! Who says the same thing wouldn't happen under the FEHB being extended but under a different manner?
Raising taxes will effect an economy. I already brought up the tax increase that helped seal the fate of the Great Depression but I'll go into a local example of my native state.
Businesses like Best Buy want to pull out of Louisiana because of it so I know. You have to give people an incentive to make any transition or for conduction. People have to see reward these days in other words. So for me the debate still partially lies in a Republican corner and against the Democrats.
On "bail outs" you'd find me agreeing though. I said in a thread here before the "bailout" was a bi-partisan effort to reward corporations and the corrupt in the stock market from the pockets of the middle class.
Futhermore on the economy you need a global economy that has Americans honoring Americans first. I know it can be seen as contradictory but it must be done.
Of course the information age began with the internet. Access to information in moments from across the world into your house.
We won't be using mice in the future we'll be using touch screens soon. Our thoughts in the future will access what we need without touch screens. Then things will go beyond. Technology has always been important for humanity since the days of discovery of fire and the wheel and I haven't debated any of that.
I'll reintenerate my point that I sought to bring balance to the thread since the OP had first made otherwise.
My point with Houston is diversity needs effect too. You can't put all your eggs in one basket and it's partially why all this trouble began in the first place. I think the technology sector goes towards the same situation.
Look. In the end here I think we're going to agree partially and disagree partially here.

This has nothing to do with the amount of republican/democrat negativity. As previously stated, Fox News is predisposed to cover McCain in a positive light, just as MSNBC is to cover Obama in a positive light. The rest of the argument is that the balance of the news networks aren't predisposed to either side. They simply report on the actual, legitimate, incidents throughout the campaigns.
McCain has ran a terrible race. News sources have reported it as such. When Obama has made mistakes, the news cycles have refelected it. He has just learned from them early in the primaries, and in turn, hasn't made nearly as many as McCain in the general election. That is why the MSM has been more critical of McCain. It's neither conspiracy nor media bias.
McCain was a media darling for 20 years. They loved him and his 'staright talk'. I did too. I was a McCain fan in 2000. It would be a total lie to say he has ran a solid campaign, though, because he simply hasn't. Don't expect any facet of the media, aside from Fox News, to ignore that.
And again I see the dismissive argument. I don't care if you people think I'm credible or not. Your opinions don't influence the facts.
It has everything to do with amount. More amount is more chances for potential voters to only see McCain and Republicans beat up a majority of the time.
The facts are already out there. McCain is beat up an average of 60%+ of time while spoon fed Obama is beat up only 30%+ average of time.
If they only reported ligitimate issues why is Fox more balanced at an average of 40%+ for each candidate? I call farse on it only being how campaigns were run. I've seen more attacks than that.
I've seen things like Palin's clothes attacked. Clothes that isn't even technically owned by her.
Cries of racism against McCain which aren't true.
I'm not going to go on but had to counter this nonsense it's only because how the candidates have ran their campaigns.
Thanks for the pics OP. Sadly evidence of diversity will be ignored.

23% of Texans think that Obama is a Muslim. Enough said...
Well, the other 77% of Texans think McCain's a Muslim.
The Democratic side couldn't identify Bush, Cheney, Romney, and a whole lot of Republicans when shown pictures of such during the Republican Convention. These were your glorious protesters your side enjoys glorifying when they commited violence during those protests.
Joking aside I have no doubt that perception would change if the video was released. Pictures and sound really just speak for themselves.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing this if Obama is elected and if things start going south real bad. Which they will if Obama is electeed.
