Compared to LotRO?
I love LotRO, and since DDO is a Turbine product as well I am curious how DDO stacks up to it.
A quick run down of world size, how your char is built, ect. would be helpful. Housing, crafting,ect.?

So what is new (content-wise) in the last 6 months or so? Played for a few years and got burned out(as any rational person will with any game), but still have fond memories and a possible itch to climb back into my TIE for a bit.
And please, I don't need to hear how the NGE sucks,ect. Just post if you play and can tell me some news, because the game isn' t nearly as bad as most people make it out to be.

- Amazingly very immature community, after 7 days of playing.
Possibly it was the server you were on. On Landroval (NA server), a huge majority of the population seem to be decent folks. I'm sure there are tool boxes on the server, but they are few and far between.

Really, what advertising did WoW have at launch?
I hadn't heard of it til I started playing MMOs.
If you're refering to the new TV ads, those didn't build the customer base, it was already there. It might get more people, but it didn't draw the first 8+ million.
