    • Why I will play it... at least for a while...
    • I work a lot. I have people to support...  I don't have a lot of time to play(or I didn't). I got into the CB 1 month before it closed, and was playing right up to the end(even though I was only 23 at that time... yes, I know, 23 in 1 month sux, but I told you I have little time to play).

For the first 16 levels, it was just something to do... something to kill the time, but I wasn't too impressed. Crafting system was ok, more of a find items and upgrade them than actual crafting, but I don't mind that. Gameplay was ok... nothing special.

      Or so I thought...

Then I hit the chaste sanctum... And ran it over and over again for a couple of levels(17-20). Simply put, that was the most fun I've had in a dungeon in a long time. Timing is important. Jumping is important. Being aware of your surroundings is important...

I've been playing mmos for a long time... and jumping has been available in a lot of them, but it didn't DO anything. Sure, you could jump off a cliff, but you could walk off the cliff too. In CoH and Matrix Online you could super jump to get somewhere faster, which was kind of cool... In none of these games, and in no way, was this mechanic exploited as it should be.

This is the first mmo I've played that had this kind of skill based terrain and environment puzzles, almost platform like.

Timing it and jumping onto the moving platforms, avoiding falling into the bottomless pit... Jumping over lava, timing it to avoid the gouts of flame... Running along narrow paths of rock above chasms filled with fiends who are lobbing paralasys and slow spells at you to try and knock you off...

All of these things made it a truly fun experience...

I am very happy that the open beta starts today, and even though we will be in a new starting area, I hope there is more content in the same vein available to us.
