I totally forgot about EVEMon!
He's right, that's a terrific program. You can plug in a skill that you want to eventually get into a plan, and it'll suggest ways to make it faster/improve it.
I'm not too sure about any guides, but finding help in the game is relatively easy.
All you really need to do is join the help channel and there is sure to be plenty of helpful, knowledgeable players to assist you in training decisions.
I really hope they make a jump. I noticed none of the BioWare games I have played have had a jump in it. All terrific games, but I've always wanted a jump.
Is it going to be first-person only? I have never liked just seeing my character's hands.
I think a lot of the problem is in deciding what to add. I always felt like a Dynasty Warriors/Kingdom Hearts battle system seems easy, but it's probably a bit more difficult to create. I also thought, since so many MMORPGs have some massive bosses, that having a lot of different maneuvers would be pretty fun. Sure, it might be a bit too advanced to make now, or...whatever. But I definitely wish I could, as a melee character, climb up on a big boss and just start poking (Much like Shadow of the Colossus).
