  • Once again, graphics would not be an issue if the gameplay was enjoyable, as I have said many, many times.

    Don't jump the gun in anger, it just makes you look like a fanboy.

  • Eh thanks for those who gave honest and mature replies. For those who didn't, well, you make me laugh on the inside ;D.

    Anyways, I think one of the previous posters hit the nail on the head when he said that this game is not for everyone, and that the MMORPG community is hungering for a new MMO to play. I know I am dieing for a good one to come out, and honestly, WAR was not for me, and it won't be for many people. Many will like it though, I'm sure it will sustain at least a decent population. Like I said though, to me it is lacking.

    As for the graphics, I said before, they wouldn't be an issue if the gameplay didn't suck to me.

    And finally, as for Vanguard, I'm not playing it at the moment because of the population issues. The game itself has made a huge turnaround though, and you would know if you tried it within the last couple of months. I was in CB for that as well, all the way til' the end. Anyways, this is not a VG post ;D.

    Not really, it's mainly the world design and gameplay/combat that get to me. Besides, I doubt they would have done a huge overhaul on the graphics right before release, as I haven't seen it happen in ANY beta I've been in. As for the animations, yeah they could have fixed that, but I doubt it. Of course, I haven't logged on to check myself. Have they fixed them?

  • Now now fanboys, I'm just stating my opinion. Honestly though, I was in closed beta for many months, and I literally stopped playing cold turkey about a month ago. The reasons for this were many. The game is just so bland and boring overall. Combat is stiff and unexciting, just plain unoriginal. Classes are uninteresting and not engaging. Animations are craptastic, seriously, it cannot be denied the way characters run is just unacceptable. The world design is so linear it kills me (this is a serious down side for me personally, as it was in AoC). Graphics are downright outdated,  though honestly this wouldn't be a factor if the gameplay were fun (Lineage 1 for example, which was 2d, kicked ass).

    Now I'd really like to hear from some other long time Closed Beta testers, or just players in general. To me, this game is unoriginal, bland, and boring. I would never spend a cent on it.

    P.S. the reason I'm even posting this is to save some people some money, is all. Also, to stop those who are super-hyped about it from being let down big time. It probably is not what you are expecting. Take it from a long, long term MMORPG player.
