    And it doesn't have to be the HIGHEST setting, but at least medium medium high! I'm also looking into upgrading to 2gigs of RAM, but that I can actually manage to do on my own

  • Installed the beta finally, clicked play and got the worst message ever!!!

    System Video Card Fails Minimum Specs -- Warhammer Will Now Terminate

    Can't say I wasn't furious after all the crap i already went through! Well I'm looking at getting a card and i've come down to 2 choices. A overclocked 8600 or a normal 8800.

    My second choice is the 8800, but although it is relativley cheap now, like $150, i don't know if my computer will be able to handle it, let alone if i'll be able to fit it in the case! I'm also on a budget, with gas, car insurance, and all those wonderfully high priced luxuries. So the cheaper the better.

    So i was wondering if i'd be able to run Warhammer using the 8600 Overclocked, on high settings or medium. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to computer stuff, so any advice would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

  • I figured out how to fix the problem... If you've downloaded WAR open beta from fileplanet without first installing the download manager you do not have to re-download it with the manager. First if you downloaded it with the manager and are having problems just open the file from within the download manager program. Now for those that didn't use the manager to download it. Go to download.com and download the program ObjectFixZip. Instal it and then use that program to open the WAR zip file and run the program. It takes about 10 minutes to fix the file, but better than having to download it all over again. After that open ur unlocked WAR zip folder and click the set-up icon and away you go. Hope this helps and enjoy.
