Sounds like a textbook example about why design by commitee situations suck. Much as many devs would benefit from actually listening to their communities (such as SoE's legendary examples) I fail to see the point of doing so to the point of trusting them completely. Humans are stupid, large numbers of them incredibly so, especially when given to fanboyism or a love of PvP it seems.
Waiting for the update to their offical website or for something else to get plopped onto Gametrailers.com. Man am I eager to see just what the heck this "You are what you wear" system is going to entail.
ParaGON, mostly because I just want to blow stuff up as a Combat Tech...

I have a feeling SOE is going to buy up this game. Thats what they do you know. They wait until the company is near bankrupt and then they buy it for cheap. I predict FE will end up on the Station Pass.
This has been discussed many, many times since I visited the official boards and as others have said, it will not happen. Icarus Studios is not only a game company but they also have spent a lot of time developing software tools used by other companies. They have money, not as much as say... Blizzard Entertainment, but certainly enough to at least finally get to Beta.
Bottomline: Icarus Studios is not going to be the easy pickings SoE is used to. They have some coin stowed away for this.
PS: And yes, it has been confirmed that the game is classless, perhaps even more so then pre-CU SWG. You have a large library of skills, a list of factions that can train you in them with different degrees of success, and absolutely no limits to how you adapt.
