    • I don't get it - video next month?
    • Actually its all just a big psychological test a couple of grad students have been running for years now. They are seeing how far they can string people along and how much they can manipulate the public. I am sure they ave written a number of papers allready. They probably used thier grant money to just buy a simple game engine they could use to put up a few screenshots and make a few movies to help string people along. :) . They are all laughing at the people who defend and attack an illusionary issue with no real facts to base it on.

      Darkfall
    • Should Jedi be a starter class in KotOR MMO?
    • In effect, just get rid of all other classes and have only the Jedi as a class. That is pretty much what would happen anyways. Or make Jedi as a subclass that everyone has and can develop kind of like AA abilities say in EQ 1, that might actually work best, because everyone will want to play a Jedi no matter what. Have abilities locked based on level/skill level depending what type of advancement scheme is created and have a bunch of skills that can be learned but limit the actual number of skills one can have at any one time.

    • "Men" and HKO
    • I suppose it comes down to something pretty simple. Most men love cute things - IE cute girls to hang out with look at etc. Only wierd males that I know of like to be the cute thing. To play an MMO usually means for most people to enter the world and envision yourself as being what that world represents. So to walk into an MMO world based on cuteness to envision yourself as the center of that cuteness is just a little wierd and odd, definately not for me :) . I do think though there is potentially a huge untapped market of females that would love that sort of thing and so I say go for it to them.

I dont know a single thing about this MMO and the closest I have come to the Hello Kitty world is a girl I knew about 5 years ago really loved the Hello Kitty stuff and even then I pretty much figured it was a girly thing and left it at that.

      Hello Kitty Online
    • Why are there so many pessimistic gamers?
    • Because there hasnt been a good game released in a very very long time. Its pretty much the same old same old...which is fine if your new to the market as you havent played the old so its still all new. It seems entertainment companies are the same no matter what genre they come from..they see a hit and think oh so thats how you make money...not realising they trying to copy that hit is gauranteed to fail as you can never beat that hits budget(for MMO's that means WoW), instead of trying to come up with a completely new concept that could be another hit all on its own.

What I want is a kind of smaller scale niche game with specific features that I think are fun, knowing that what I like and what I want is not what the majority of your average players want. Its too bad that all the games that start out like that end up getting a publisher that basically tells them or entices them into changing everything to "widen" thier appeal for a bigger market thus usually ruining the original game and losing thier core audience and usually creating a flop that the publisher them picks up and pumps out just enough money to make a profit and move on to the next MMO to turn into a stinking pile.

What are your views on PvP?

I don't like PvP combat.
I think it is the best part about MMORPG's.
I don't care either way.
