Now i know one single mmo dose not actully kill another mmo because people will still play the mmo, So don't get angry or think this is meant as a post to flame people or certain mmo's. But more in terms of marketing and sells that drives the game itself , Shows weather or not the game has life or not.

In other words, if the game is on the shelf  at the stores, then it must mean the game has some life still because people are buying the mmo.

      No.

If people really wanted to leave Wow they would have already done so. Wow will eventually die as will we all but Wow is mainly PvE game while WAR is mainly PvP.

Can anyone really see the Wow RAID guilds raiding in WAR instead?

If WAR ever reaches a million subs itshould be very happy, that would be a huge feather in Mythics hat, but it can as well go down a lot too.

Whatever happens I don't see WAR kill wow off, they don't really aim for the same players. I am not sure a game could really kill Wow even if it will start to decline sooner or later, but if a game will it will be a PvE game like Wow already is.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • User Rating 8.87? You have got to be kidding me!
    • I gave it 7,4. Good but still needs more work. I do believe that it can be 8,5 in a year or 2 if Mythic works hard.

The problem with number rating is first that many people have different standards, I am not sure there is a game I would give a 10 in any category, 10 is perfect. I did give Guildwars 10 in value a few years ago but that's the only one and basicly that's because you can play GW for the initial buying costs for years.

The graphics seems to be most of from my list, come on, look on good graphics. Crysis looks great, War is somewhere between 5 and 6, average. Not bad but it could be a lot better. Yeah a lot of people say that a MMO cant look great but I don't really believe in that.

WAR is not a bad game, not at all but there is room for improvement. I don't belive I seen a MMO that is over 8 at launch ever in my opinion.

A friend of mine has been looking into building a new computer and was thinking of the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0ghz, when he finished building the computer it's specifications were superior to mine on paper, using same benchmark program he got better scores than me yet in actual games he often experiences loss of performance. He chose the parts he used because of recommendations from websites and online statistics and has become disappointed with it. I'm not saying INTEL are not good for certain things but my experience over the past 7 years is that AMD are better for gaming rigs.

I have the opposite oppinion., also worked with hardware. Your rigg is probably doing better than hes because you know how to build and tune a computer. Also you probably do like me and gets stuff of a good brand (have a japanese A-Bit motherboard and Samsung memorys), I do know people who gotten performance drop because inferior motherboards.

Intels biggest + is that they don't get so hot and therefore are easy to clock. My 2,4 quad runs at 2,97 and it's top temperature is 42C with the original fan.

My delima is that I dont know if I should get a quad core or duo core. Does any MMO out today or the foreseable future make use of quad cores? If the answer is no, then I dont want to waste money on a quad core. With that said what is the best CPU out their that I should buy for MMO games? Oh it must be an Intel to, I am not an AMD kind of guy.

      Thank you for the help.

I would go for the E8500, a  3,16 mhz core2 duo. I run a quad myself but in gaming it doesn't make that big difference since almost no games supposrt quad yet.

The Quad is useful if you run a lot of different programs on the same time or compile stuff. For pure gaming you can just save the money and put them on memory or the GFX card instead.
