    • Play UO (on seige perilous preferably). It may not have cutting edge graphics but the gameplay is good, and the KR client isn't too bad now. There are some really good freeshards as well, but you didn't hear me say that.

    • A Few Things You Should Know Before You Start TR: A Brief Review
    • I think this is the first negative post I've seen on these forums that isn't a flat out troll. I pretty much agree with everything you said. You ideas about logos and CPs are great. The game would definitely  be on another level if they  had implemented any of that. These are the real reasons not to like TR, as opposed to "the intro sux",  "I can't open my inventory with i", "TR is a WoW clone", etc.

    • You should also be careful about buying purple items that are less than level 50 unless they're cheap. Most of the items on the surplus are mission rewards.

So as I said before, I'm not trying to troll here. I'd like to hear suggestions from those who've hit 50 or at least in the 40s about what sort of things I can look forward to. Are there some awesome instances in the upper levels? Do the top tier skills completely change the game (I'm thinking of doing engineer or sapper)? Should I switch to a soldier specialty if I'm bored as a specialist?

Any help would be appreciated, as at this point I'm seriously considering deactivating my account and waiting for the devs to actually implement some things they've promised.

I have a level 50 medic as well as several level ~30s. The final tier changes the way the classes play a lot. It's like a whole new character in many cases. Engineers and demolitionists change dramatically from sappers (and both are good). The game definitely does not end at level 30. Also, soldiers are overrated I think, particularly at high levels. Level 50 specialists can do things many soliers wouldn't dream of trying in pve.

Instances: there are some good ones and some really bad incomplete ones. Some of it is definitely entertaining, but some people have a low tolerance for the ones that are broken. Also the types of enemies you fight are unchanged for the most part. If you can't stand the small variety in enemy models, this will not change. Zone themes and storylines do change however.

For me, a large part of the fun comes from being in a good clan that has events and actively participates in clan wars. Clan wars really add a new dimension to the game, especially if the clans you're fighting are cool. There are a lot of special event type battles you can organize as well. If I wasn't in a pvp clan, the game probably wouldn't be nearly as appealing. The only other thing to do at 50 now is farm for level 50 purple items or make alts. I highly recommend you join a good warring clan.
